I love (what) my mom (bought me):

Side note: You know it's gonna be a long post when I make a cut >:)
The project I was supposed to be part of turned out to be pretty useless (>.>). When I finally got around to attending a meeting at their base it was quickly established this when it started with .... get ready for this .... The Myers-Briggs personality test. It took a lot of effort not to burst out laughing or being otherwise offensive.
What they'd been doing up until then (and would be doing for the rest of the project's run) was basically delving into self awareness, which is something I've got a PhD in. More or less. If this information had been given from the get-go (from the project people themselves instead of a third party who didn't seem to have much insight) it wouldn't have been such a waste of everyone's time. Nor would it have put me in the situation of sorting the mess out.
At least this time around I managed to stay on top of everything without falling into the trap of angst/depression! :D Now that's progress for ya (as well as a good testament to how far I've gotten with my self awareness *cough*). Thankfully everyone involved was understanding, with the additional bonus of being helpful in trying to help me find the appropriate path to enable my continued onward journey.
(Any internship they could help me acquire wouldn't come with a guarantee of future hiring and that kind of situation isn't good for me. Speaking from experience here.)
So now I'm looking into the dealings of starting a business for my jewelry. O_O! Ironic, since my eldest sister pushed vigorously for the idea not many months ago, haha. It might not be feasible but investigating the matter won't hurt. We'll see where it leads!

During the many hours of beading I'd come to the point where my music catalog had been nigh-on exhausted (including the extended troves of my parents). So the time had come to cash out on some music! This is what came out of my purchasing bout:
One Republic - "One Republic"
"Apologize" was used during a routine with Anya and Danny on "So you think you can dance" and they also played "Stop and stare" a lot in one season so I took a gamble. Hm. Not sure about this one. A lot of wailing and angst. Couldn't bear to finish listening through it. Haven't listened to it since. I'll give it another chance, though ^_^;
Phil Collins - hits collection cd
I like Phil. As a child of the 80's I dig his music.
U2 - hits collection cd
I like U2, too (snortgiggle) but not to the point where I'll amass their entire catalog >.> The singles work just fine for moi.
Robyn - "Robyn"
I was hesitant towards this one since the artist herself had said that those who liked her previous record might not respond to this one. Lies. Totally love it. Especially since her songs were featured in a great group routine and a solo performance on "So you think you can dance" :D
Imogine Heap - "Speak for yourself"
Purchased this one based on a 30-second exposure of "Hide and Seek" during Cedric's solo performance on the above mentioned show. Gorgeous music.
Frou Frou - "Details"
Good background music. No track stands out, apart from "Psychobabble", but then again I haven't listened to it all too much to date.
Goldfrapp - "Black Cherry"
James (Ozland) sent me the single "Hairy Trees" a few years back and it's been in the back of my mind since then. The music is very .... sexy, for lack of a better word ^_^; Haven't taken the time to listen to it properly yet.
Roisin Murphy - "Ruby Blue"
"Ramalama" and one other song was featured on, can you guess it?, "So you think you can dance" and I liked what I'd heard from Moloko so in the basket it went. As is the case with Goldfrapp it's not gotten much air time.
That's it! And tomorrow I go to Gothenburg to hang out with some (or all) of my sisters. We're gonna watch "Up" (finally!!!!) and I'll spend a night at my sisters place before going home on Saturday. Should be a good time :D
