Little Frankie's - Derby

Unfortunately, this is not the first time we have eaten here and had problems. We ate here last year and was met with calamari that had gone off and cold pasta and when they were confronted about it, they made no hesitation in showing their irritation.

This time, we decided to give it another shot. (Hoping they had improved.) Unfortunately, this was a bad idea.

We (Me and my fiance) had ordered 3 courses, the Mushroom Alfredo Crostini, BBQ Chicken Wrap and for desert we chose Chocolate Brownies and Cinnamon Waffles.

The starter arrived without a hitch and we happily devoured it in under a minute. (We were hungry!) It was the same as we expected. Really nice, strong cheese sauce with sliced mushrooms (Although, some were undercooked.) on a slice of garlic bread.

So, time for our main course... 40 minutes later and it had still not arrived. So, my fiance headed to the desk and stood for at least another 5 minutes waiting to be seen to, even though the waitresses were there behind the bar chatting and could clearly see him! They FINALLY came over and promised to check... 10 minutes later and they STILL hadn't gone into the kitchen to find out what was going on with our food! It took another 5 minutes after that for them to check and arrive with our order, after which I had already gone over hungry.

The wrap was OK. Nothing special. Small, cheap cuts of meat that were poorly breaded, coated in slimy grease and drowned in BBQ sauce what was volcanic and burned my finger. As for the fries, they were rather dry. Which was a pity, as they were really nice tasting.

They had taken so long that we ended up having to skip dessert (Which they tried to make us pay for anyway!) and left.
