Sister School?! :O

My Chinese class found out on Wednesday that our school apparently has a sister school in China! :D

And on Thursday and Friday, there were 25 students who came from there to join our AP chinese class! Each of us got a partner who we took around to every single one of our classes. I became extremely close with my friend (her English name is Shirley). I miss her so much now that she's left to go back to her school. :( I cry ever time I think about it (kinda, just in my heart) xD

Anyways, during the time I spent with her, there were things we learned from each other about they two country's school systems. There were some really interesting things, so I thought you guys may find some interesting as well (and break a few stereotypes):

- They don't get to choose their classes, and all students in the same grade take the same courses. (that sucks, cause then they have to even attend classes they find boring)
- Their parents don't expect them to always get A's (THE HECK. I MUST GO TO ATTEND SCHOOL IN CHINA NOW)
- My partner, who was a year ahead of me, didn't understand the things taught in my Calc class because she never had a Calc class yet. (woah, that broke my thinking that Chinese people are pros at math and know everything, lol)

Long story short, we had a great time together. I got her e-mail, BUT MY MOM LOST IT. *cries in the corner* I'm just hoping she emails me the pics we took so I can have her email again, lol. xD
