Yua was born to the Kage of the Sky village. If you do not know what the Sky village is, imagine the Sound village. Now, put it in a rocky part of the desert. BAM. You got the Sky village. The current Kage of the Sky village was the father of one of the many assassins of Gaara. Gaara was a new born child at the time, but Shukaku was able to kill his son. He fled in fear of Gaara-or of his father, it remains uncertain-taking none with him. When he first entered the Sky Village, he met and fell in love with a lusty red head, despite the fact his wife had not died yet. From this affair Yua was born. However, his wife soon joined him in the Sky village, and thus Yua spent her entire life with her hair dyed to hide that she was the product of an affair. Her father quickly moved his way up the ranks of the Sky, becoming Kage in 5 years. Unfortunately, her birth mother died when he was sent on a mission to assassinate the Kazekage. But, as will be revealed in one of my works, she did not die by the hands of the Kage’s guards, or the Kage, but by an 8 year old Gaara.
She grows up with the assistance of Blind Seer (a man without eyes that uses his pulse as a radar system), who teaches her basic jutsu and taijutsu. Shingo, on the other hand, was a pest all her life. Nephew of Blind Seer, he was told from birth that he and Yua were destined to wed, and he will never get over it. He is a constant embarrassment (especially when she’s going for another boy) and a clutz.
Years later, she discovers that the Sky village is using its own shinobi in bizarre and cruel experiments to make them stronger. By using her bloodline ability (which allows her to see ‘bloodlust’ or the violent intentions of others) she learns that she is one of the next targets. She flees for Sunagakure, with Blind Seer and Shingo following a day behind. On the night she reaches Sunagakure, she is attacked by Gaara. He quickly gets her in the coffin, but he strangely doesn’t feel like killing her (Something to do with her mother?). Instead, he takes his wrath out on an assassin sent after Yua.
