Mythical Creatures and Me...Nope,Still Doesn't Sound Right

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~"JESSICA!"~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
MY POV
~~~
Maybe I can get away and skip the lecture this time. Well, not listen to it now.

I tip toed backwards. Trying to be as quiet as possible. Trying being the key word. A stupid root had to be sticking out of the stupid ground and I just had to stupidly trip over it causing them to look over at stupid me.

Stupid root.

"JESSICA!" They yelled. I winced at the full name. Was it really necessary?

"How could you be so reckless?!" Kage yelled, furiously.

"You almost got killed!" Amby yelled, furiously.

"By a vampire, too!" Jazzy yelled, furiously as well.

"What made you be so stupid?!" Kage yelled again.

"It was nothing." I said.

Lie. It wasn't nothing.

"I just decided to go outside for a bit." I said, again.

Lie, again. You know that wasn't the reason.

"A BIT?! IT'S ALMOST MIDNIGHT!" Kage yelled again. Now he was fuming.

"Really? Wow. Guess I didn't pay attention to time." I said, calmly. I was even scaring myself by how calm I was. Maybe the run did some good.

Or not. I can still feel my chest hurting. Being heartbroken sucks.

"How could you be so calm?! You almost got sucked dry!" Kage yelled.

No kidding. I already noticed that.

All this yelling was giving me a headache. Wait, why don't I care? I almost got sucked dry! I should at least feel a bit scared. Shouldn't I? Wait a second, Amby said half-breed and acid blood. Wait, that's not normal, is it? No, of course not! Why would I even question that?! My mind wasn't, however, calm in any way. It was racing. Maybe my thoughts are what's causing the headache. I tuned out everybody. All the yelling and just focused on my thoughts. My thoughts were fighting with the voice of reason and I couldn't tell who was winning. Maybe I should take a nap. Ya, a nap would be good for me. Then I collapsed.

RYAN'S POV
~~~
Ashley was here. My Ashley. Well, not exactly mine but I missed her. I was dazed. Or maybe I just felt dazed. Either way, she was standing there. Yelling at Jess. She was really standing there. But what did she mean 'I'm not forgiving you Ryan!'? Did I do something? If I did, what was it?
"She just collapsed." Kage stated.
"No shit, Sherlock." Amby said, sarcastically.
"Maybe we should take her home." Jazzy said. "It's getting dark out and I'd rather stay clear of vampires. One vampire was enough." She said.
I wasn't gonna say anything. But I should, right? At least say something to Ash- er, Amby. But what should I say? I could say I missed her, too. Or maybe I should answer her questions. That's probably a good idea.
"Ryan!" My head snapped up to the person who was calling my name. It turned out to be Kage. "Jeez, I swear, you're totally out of it tonight." He stated."Anyways, are you coming or not?" He asked.
"Uh, ya. I'm coming." I said, catching up to them. Amby and Jazzy were walking ahead. Kage at the moment was holding Jess and I couldn't keep my eyes of Amby. She was there all along and I didn't even notice?
MY POV
~~~
I woke up in my bed with a splitting headache.

"Finally! Jeez, it's been almost a day! I was afraid you weren't gonna wake up!" Amby said, hugging me tightly. But my eyes were fixed on the person behind her. Aidan was standing there. Staring blankly at me. It felt like he was staring right through me. I shook off the thought and hugged Amby back.

"It's okay. At least I'm awake now." I said, pulling back.

"Ya. But you're not going back in the woods unsupervised." She stated, in a serious tone. But then she burst out laughing. "I'm sorry! I just can't say that seriously!" She said in between laughs.

Well, at least she tried.

I sat up and held my head. Like that'll help the headache.

You should've just stayed home in your room. But did you listen? No, you decided to go and be stupid.

Shut up, for once. I already have a terrible headache I don't need you to make it worse.

"Here." Amby handed me some Tylenol and a glass of water. "I know you have a headache. This should help." She said.

"Thanks, Amby." I said taking the Tylenol and drinking my water. It did sorta help. My head wasn't pounding as bad.

"I'll be outside if you need anything, kay?" She asked, getting up.

"Ya, okay." I replied. Then she left. Aidan was still standing in the room, staring blankly at me. Then he opened his mouth to speak.

"Listen, Jess-" He started, but I cut him off. I was gonna be giving him the cold shoulder for a while.

"No, I'm tired of listening. Just go." I said, not looking at him.

"But I-" He started, but, again, I cut him off.

"No. I just want you to leave." I said.

"Okay, if that's what you want." He said, leaving the room. I didn't really want him to leave. In fact, if I was being truthful I would've told him to stay with me forever. Ugh. I sound so helpless.
