I woke up in a cot.I was covered in bandages and I was sore all over. As if I couldn't even move. My head lolled to the side and I saw the date. August 7th! My birthday! I eased myself out of the cot and limped out of the hospital wing. I didn't know the Spiritual Gates could do so much damage.
I headed for the cafeteria for some snacks or food. My stomach was growling and gnawing.
I held on to the hand rail and stepped down the stairs with the same foot.I walked into the cafeteria. It was pitch black.
I painfully turned around. A noise came from the cafeteria. So I turned back around.
The lights turned on.
"Surprise!"
I jumped.
My friends were all there. Shaunki, Shongi, Kira, all of them.
Presents sat on the table ready to be opened. Balloons hung in the air. Honu and Heni hefted me up on their shoulders and carried me to the table. They set me down on the bench.
"Well, which present should I open first?"
