Yesterday, I mentioned that the upcoming 2012 animated "Space Battleship Yamato" film (called "Space Battleship Yamato 2199") will retell the basic story of the original SBY T.V. series. Anyway, after visiting ANN today, I found out that the movie itself is actually the first two episodes of a new "Space Battleship Yamato" T.V. series edited together as what is intended to be a 50-minute preview or pilot with the new T.V. series itself to also be called "Space Battleship Yamato 2199". This may well be the SBY T.V. series that Shoji Nishizaki (adopted son of original SBY series creator Yoshinobu Nishizaki) hinted that he is working on during his foster father's funeral last year, except that I was hoping that the T.V. series would pick up from where "Space Battleship Yamato: Resurrection" (2009) left off.
