F&H Chapter 5- The first death

Fai watched his classroom as students swarms inside. As the talkative Hufflepuffs all sat, Fai began too feel the creeping sensation of nervousness. All eyes were upon him.
"Well now, what exactly am I supposed to be doing?"
The enthusiasm of the students plummeted, each thinking their teacher to be an instant flop.
Rukia took initiative and raised her hand. "Well, Professor, this is the Griffindor class period for DADA, but according to these Hufflepuffs, their potions period with Slytherin was canceled so they are sharing our DADA period as well as their own. The Slytherins arent here because... they just decided not to come."
Cluelessly, Fai said," Oh. Now I understand..... So- to the lesson plan!" The children watched him intensely.
"First of all.....Do you all know what... magic is?"
A few Griffindors snickered. "Yes," Rukia said, shooting her peers a glare. "We're all witches an wizards at a school for magic."
Fai smiled with a stronger confidece. "That, will make this a lot easier! Okay, I need a volunteer!"
No one raised their hands. Everyone exchanged uneasy glances.
"Thank you for volunteering, Kuro-whoof!" Fai said sweetly.
Syaoran raised his hand, " When do you give out house points?" He asked, hoping to give Fai a hint about how he should be running the class.
Fai recognized the inuendo. "Soon," he responded.
When Kurogane didn't appear, he said, " Who will volunteer for house points?"
Dozens of hands shot into the air.
"Uh-you there, come one up."
"Me?" Yusuke asked. "My hand wasn't even raised!"
"Yours was the only hand that wasn't raised, so you probably need this the most."
Yusuke groaned. "Teachers, always picking on me."
"What's that?" Fai asked as Yusuke approached him.
"I said my name's Yusuke, not "you"."
"Right Yu-chan! Now what I need you to do is-"
"Where's Sakura?!" Syaoran shouted suddenly, realizing she wasn't present with the other Hufflepuffs.
A look of fear crossed Fai's face, and was quickly replaced by control. "Kurogane! If you're not going to volunteer, go find the I mean, go find Sakura."
Kurogane nodded. "Something's fishy. I'll bet Sakura went after the missing Potion's Master or something."
"Right!" Syaoran said, standing and gathering his things.
"Not this time, Syaoran," Kurogane said, his firm voice urging Syaoran back to his seat. With that, Kurogane disappeared from the class, and Syaoran put his things back down.
