BRIEF BACKSTORY
Gutworm was once a young man who fought Gedoes on his own.He freed his childhood friend Solomon from slavery and together with the EXE,they built an army and fought a revolution against their Gedoe enslavers.
Shortly after winning the war though,he and Solomon started have heated arguments over how Titanomachia should be run from then on: Mazda wanted to rule the Dentes with an iron fist and structure their society,while Solomon was more lenient and simply wanted the people to enjoy their newfound freedom under certain rules he would enforce.Their differences in ideals have had gotten so intense that Gutworm ended up leaving to the western half of the city to pursue his own ideals.
Despite being the biggest contributor to Dente victory,his departure caused him to become relatively unknown and barely receives any recognition for his great deeds.Solomon lied that Gutworm simply left to lead a branch of the Peacemakers
PERSONALITY
Gutworm is perharps the most accurate definition of grumpy;he always seems angry and is quite bossy.He is the most foul-mouthed character in the series and swears in anger rather frequently. Solomon notes that this and his habit of taking everything seriously caused him to age rather un-gracefully. He also expresses bitterness over his clash of ideals against Solomon and is the first to criticize the latter's admittedly flawed system.His tactlessness and his inability to compromise make him relatively friend-less and disliked
That said,he is selfless and fair;he sincerely wants to make a society of order and equal rights and will do anything to achieve it,impossible or not. He also has a strong code of honor that prevents him from executing criminals without giving them a chance to reform (with some exceptions).He is pretty bad at expressing his feelings which often makes him look mean or even evil,despite being far more principled and actively devoted to good than either HYDE or Solomon.
BATTLE STATS
One of Gutoworm's greatest strengths is his sheer force of will;because he was a "late bloomer", his ability was locked from him for much of his life,forcing him to compete with HYDE,Solomon,Kurojin and Metalixca (who all had unlocked and mastered their abilities) without having one himself.Desîte this,however,he was the only Dente the Gedoes ever feared; training and willpower allowed him to reach a peak of physical power his super-powered friends could dream of having and managed to hold his own with all of them.He may be slow,but his muscles are so tough that most blades and claws bounces off him. He fights in a style reminiscent of wrestling and grappling.
His ability came in the form of a sentient parasite that devoured his left arm.He managed to tame the beast and as such,he now possesses a shape-shifting arm; This monster arm can eat objects,which allows him to mutate and take on it's properties (and it always can,as long as it remembers having eaten that object before).
CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT
Even though he did miss them a lot,his first meeting with Solomon and HYDE in over decade was not smooth at all.He was frustrated that despite his best efforts,he struggles to start the structured organization he dreamt of.This frustration increased his stress levels,causing him to age faster.He continually warn Solomon that his system has large creaks that are bound to explode. He also wanted to convince HYDE to finally pick a side (preferrably his) but is rather disappointed by the latter's indecisiveness.
Solomon's sudden death at the hands of Kurojin shooks Gutworm to the core;while he acted righteous due to his warnings being accurate,deep down he was heartbroken over the fact he never got to make up with Solomon before his death.This motivates him to rally those still loyal to Solomon and attack the Gedoes for revenge.After the war,he is left in Solomon's shoes and with the crime rate increasing steadily, Gutworm becomes more determined to fix everything,but is code of honor ends up being an obstacle at times.
HYDE's death drives him over the edge.His hardened exterior crumbles and he quietly cried for a full day.At this moment,Gutworm drops any concept such as "honor" or "compassion" and decides to be accomplish his dreams through violence and tyranny.He is pleased to see that his extreme methods does bring results.
NOTABLE RELATIONSHIPS
-Despite being childhood friends and having worked closely together during the war,Gutworm no longer gets along with Solomon at all; their differences in ideals regarding how Titano City should be run causes them to have heated arguments almost every time they talk.Solomon is a bit more relaxed about their mutual hostility,which angers Gutworm even more.That said,Gutworm never raised his hand on Solomon and usually always leaves before their arguments get too ugly.He sincerely regrets they never got to reminisce and make up before Solomon died.
=While nowhere as hostile as with Solomon,Gutworm and HYDE have something of a tense relationship;He still cares for HYDE like a little brother and really does want HYDE to join him,but he gets somewhat pushy,which alienates HYDE,resulting in their awkward friendship.Losing HYDE causes Gutworm to jump the slippery slope and become a tyrant.He mourned and cried for a full day,despite himself.
+Flame is one of the few people Gutworm never acts grumpy towards.
+He holds Metalixca and Asura in high regards and expressed desire to recruit them to his gang.He feels they were the only ones keeping the Peacemakers together
-While they mutually respect each other,Gutworm does not trust Kurojindue to the latter operating in West Side,as well as his penchant for conflict whic Gutworm noticed.
