No Man is an Island

I REALLY should be doing homework right now...

"No man is an island" - John Donne.

We were learning about him in English class, and I came across this quote. And I was like, "Perfect wallpaper theme. Let's use it."

That was last year.

To give you a sense of how badly procrastination has taken a hold of me, the only reason I actually made this wallpaper is because I don't want to write that essay I REALLY should be working on right now...*dammit conscience! Go away!*

Anyways, backtrack to yesterday. I was sitting at the computer going through my English folder looking for the essay prompt when I came across this quote I'd written down. And I thought, "How fun would it be to completely ignore this assignment that'll probably determine your grade for this semester and Photoshop instead?" *shutupdammit!*

Well, I looked at this quote and 3 possible wallpaper candidates immediately came to mind: Kakashi, Cloud, or Miharu and Yoite from Nabari no Ou. The reasons I chose Cloud are as follows:

  • Kakashi - I wanted to make a wallpaper of him. I wanted to so bad. You have no idea. But I just couldn't bring myself to do it.
  • Miharu and Yoite - they creep me out...
  • Cloud - I've been meaning to do an FF7 wall, and Areemus' work totally inspired me. Have you seen the Vincent wall? That thing is badass.

Anyways, the making of the wallpaper was pretty fun. I mean, the hexagons were a pain in the butt, but unlike with a lot of my previous wallpapers, I am satisfied with the result. And I an eternally grateful to Gaussian Blur, Monday Moning Violet, Pastel, Colorization, and any other filter I may have overused. Now, time to start my essay...
