Dear Nina,
Day Two of Self Defense Class
I woke up pretty early today, but then, I fell asleep and woke up again at 9:30 AM. I really have a habit of doing that. So then we ate lunch while watching some random movie my brother wanted to watch. Then I went upstairs and downstairs to gather all my favorite drawings and put them all in one place. Just looking at them, I can tell I've gotten better. I know I haven't been submitting anything for a while, and the only art I have up is my old ones. I mean, my OLD ones. I can tell I've improved alot, just looking at the drawings I have. I really do draw alot. :P Then I went on the computer and read Shugo Chara until my dad came home. Wow, I am ADDICTED to that wonderful manga now! It's just so fasinating! I'm even reading it now as I type this. I'm alternating from typing and reading. Haha.
So when my dad came, home, I struggled to pick what outfit I was going to wear for my Self Defense class. The paper said to where a while shirt and sweatpants, but the other two didn't yesterday. So I ended up wearing just shorts. Then we left and went somewhere. On the way there, I played Guitar Hero On Tour: Decades. We then arrived at our destination, a lake. I think it was a lake. My dad said it was the beach, but we live WAY too far away from the beach, I think. But whatever, it was beautiful. We even played on the playground. (I'm getting too old for that.) Actually, I just swung on the swings!! WEEE!! And we even had a jumping contest. After about 15 minutes, we hopped into the car and drove home. We were supposed to get dinner, but since my dad forgot his wallet, we had to go home and get it. And it was 6:00 PM already!! So we went home and then decided to eat dinner after Self Defense class because it was going to start at 7:00 PM and it was already so late! So when we got there, we had 5 minutes to spare! And this time, both my mom and dad were there to watch the whole thing. This time, I wasn't that nervous at all.
Okay, this time, we reviewed our kicks and punches from yesterday, with me starting first, again. And then, we took off our shoes and went on the mat! First he taught us a type of way to protect yourself when you fall down, crouched. When we did that, I did not know how to do it at all, and I had to keep doing it by myself. EMBARRASSING! All eyes on me. *sobs* I finally got it right too. Then we did anouther catching yourself move and my brother was first. He did okay. Then Angelique did alright. She kept getting scared. I don't think she did bad, she did okay too. But then when it was my turn, I got it right the first time. GO ME! Then when it was Mac's turn, he thought he knew everything and didn't pay attention at all. So, when it was his turn, he fell frontwards instead of backwards. Yes, I couldn't help but laugh like CRAZY! He's hilarious! What does he think, he can catch himself going frontwards? Common sense my friend, common sense. Anyway, then he taught us this type of move to flip a person. He even used his son, Akito, as an example. Akito is like, 11 years old? I dunno. And it's weird cause as soon as I finished reading Fruits Basket, I see everyone's names everywhere. I mean, the Honda [Tohru Honda] car. Akito, my instructor's son [Akito Sohma]. And I read that part of my instructor's name is Kyo [Kyo Sohma]. WHAT'S UP WITH THAT? Anyway, that flipping thing, I was scared at first. My brother did it well. Mac even told me that my brother has quick reflexes. And Angelique did alright too. And since I was paying CLOSE attention, I probably did the 2nd best. Then when it was Mac's turn, of course, he took up like 10 minutes. He was NOT paying attention. He did that yesterday too, acting all tough and all. He even shows off punching and kicking. He's not even paying attention to the instructor, that's why he keeps doing some stuff wrong! He's busy talking to me. Ugh. I hate when he "flirts" with me. And in front of my parents! What's his problem? If I wasn't shy, I would tell him to back off and not do anything IRRITATING and focus on this class. But since I'm all shy, I just nodded at everything he said, still keeping my eye on the instructor. Ugh. And my parents knew EXACTLY what was going on. Phft. :P Anyway, then we learned this other move. And we had to use Akito as a bully. And we learned these cool moves I was good at! Now I can throw someone down, flip someone, and break someone's arm easily! YAY! Today, all together, we learned 5 new moves. YAY! Too bad we only have an hour. And today, I didn't even get all nervous!
After the class, I went with my brother and father to Target. My brother was looking for a toy he wanted while I read a magazine. Then my brother bought some soup for dinner. I got some food too and ate it on the way home. It wasn't that hard. Maybe it was hard to get out, but I did good on not to make a mess. When we got home, I finished eating my food and my brother finished his soup. Then I practiced my new moves on my mom and dad. Mostly on my mom cause my dad was tired. Then I went upstairs, then downstairs and watched TV. Then I took a shower. Yeah. And then I started reading Shugo Chara! Even Shugo Chara reminds me of Fruits Basket alot. I mean, Tadase as Yuki and Ikuto as Kyo. Right? Aren't they like REALLY alike? What's with Princes and Cat Boys in manga lately? And what about Inuyasha? It's hard to believe he's the youngest of those two. He's supposed to be 15, yet he's really 200 years old or something. Kyo is 16. And Ikuto is 17. I would think that Inuyasha is the oldest, then Kyo, THEN Ikuto, but it's the other way around. Heh. Wouldn't it be cool if they all met? It would be "Fruits Chara" or "Shugo Basket". That sounds nice. Someone should make a manga about that! I WILL!

Question & Answer:

Q: Is Shugo Chara now your favorite manga?
A: Nope! Fruits Basket all the way still!
