Hello and welcome to Keba's Anime and Manga Place (KAAMP for short)! Here at KAAMP, I write about anime and manga that I have seen/read as well as my views on them. I'll also post about my original stories from time to time.

Just beware that some of my posts contain spoilers. I'll put them in spoiler tags just in case.

KAAMP's history: KAAMP was created in July 2002 by yours truly. It was a sloppy-looking website on Yahoo's now defunct Geocities. I posted my anime fan art on that site. Also, for a time, I posted my thoughts on the few anime series that I had seen. Now that I look back on it, my thoughts were rather ill-informed (is that even a word?) because I had only seen bits and pieces of anime dubs. Now that I've seen more series, I think that my commentary on various anime will be a little better than before.

So, come on in and stay awhile! KAAMP is now in session.

[Insert Frustrated Noise Here]

This is going to be an art/anime-related rant post. Don't worry; I'm not attacking anyone.

Reasons why I'm frustrated:

1. I may have bought the fabric for my vest, but I don't know what to do now. Apparently, I need a pattern. I don't know how to choose the right one. Guess another trip to the fabric store is in order. I just hope I don't make a fool of myself. Or have to buy lessons on how to execute the pattern. 'Cause money's tight.

2. The pressure sensitivity isn't working on my Bamboo tablet. I just contacted Wacom for help about that, but in the mean time, I CAN'T DRAW THE STUFF I JUST STARTED. I was going to make some surprise gifts for people. And do livestreams. My complimentary premium thing on Join Me is gonna run out, and I wanted to take advantage of it. *Cries.*

3. Although I finished drawing 28 characters from three series for the Sketch Marathon, I don't know what series to go through next. Also, I was going to make the cover page digitally, but I can't (see #2 above).

4. Not only has the anime adaption of The Seven Deadly Sins concluded without my watching a singe episode, THERE HASN'T BEEN AN ANNOUNCEMENT OF IT BEING LICENSED. Don't tell me the US companies have been competing for it for half a year. And if Netflix really DID get it, why haven't they said anything? (Note: If you've seen Knights of Sidonia, how long did it take for Netflix to say, "Ha-ha we've got exclusive rights." I know Netflix likes to sit on series until they finish and then post them, but was the announcement made prior to that?)

5. I can't log in to Hulu. This has been going on for a while now. A few days ago, I contacted Hulu for help. They replied instantly saying, "We can't locate your Hulu Plus account." Well, that's because I DON'T HAVE ONE. It's just a regular account. I told them that (without caps lock abuse), and I haven't heard back since. Thanks a bunch, Hulu. Now I can't watch series for "mature audiences" because without my account, I have no "proof" that I'm an adult. (Just for the record, I'm not That Guy. I'm not into X-rated material, but I will watch the occasional not-meant-for-kids thing. And by Hulu's standards, stuff like Attack on Titan is for "mature audiences".) Edit: I actually fixed this one on my own, just now. I reset my password and everything worked fine.

OK, now I feel a little better after having gotten that off my chest. Just needed to vent a bit.

Mission: Nothing Is Impossible 2

I've made a lot of progress on upgrading my cosplay today. First, I worked up the nerve to go to a fabric store. I was afraid that since I know next to nothing about sewing, that I couldn't get my thoughts across to the salesperson. Fortunately, the salesperson was very knowledgeable and was able to help me out in finding the right fabric and the right amount. Now to find someone who knows something about vest-making...

The second thing I did was talk to my neighbor. She was the one who gave me the boots last year. I told her how uncomfortable they were, and mentioned that I needed insoles. She happened to have an unopened box with a pair and offered them to me. I've never used insoles, so I don't know how long they last. I guess that's another thing I have to figure out.

In a completely unrelated subject, I have become a frequent lurker on the Crunchyroll Forums. They trolled the heck outta me today.

Today I Started a Conversation with a Random Stranger

As the title says, I started a conversation with a random stranger. This is extremely rare for me. In fact, I don't remember ever doing it before.

So, I was at a Starbucks, and I was just sitting down with my drink, when I saw this girl with the Attack on Titan Survey Corps emblem on her pants. Because she was in close proximity, and I had nothing much to do besides drink my green tea-type-thing, I said to her, "I like your pants."

We had a pleasant conversation. We talked about our favorite genres, though we didn't get deep into any specific anime. Turns out she's going to Anime Central, too. She told me that she would be cosplaying as a Naruto character.

"Which one?" I asked.

"An OC," she replied.

"So I guess I'll just look for the headband then," I said.

It might have been a little foolish of me not to ask what village emblem would be on her headband. Heck, I didn't even ask her name. Nor did I give mine.

ACen is a huge convention, so I don't know if I'll run into her. I hope I do. She seemed like a really nice person.

Floating Down the Livestream [OFF]

Huge thanks to the one person who stopped by. You made it worth it. 0_~

I'm just doing this for the sheer heck of it.

Edit: Technical difficulties. BRB.

Edit part deux: And we're back.

Lots of Thoughts (theO Ideas)

I had a bunch of thoughts regarding both theO and my art. This post is basically me spilling ideas.

Regarding theO:

1. OC Popularity Polls. We'd vote for each others' characters and the 10 that receive the most votes get a countdown comic.

2. Otaku Manga/Anime Fan Guides. Basically it'll be a ring of fan sites using Worlds. Each person would have a fan World collecting data about their chosen series (character bios, world guide, et cetera). If we don't know everything about a certain series, we can have guest posters and commenters fill in the gaps. Also, instead of using official artwork, we'd make our own (or post artwork from other users).

3. Something secret that I plan to do this summer. No art skills are required. You just have to know how to link YouTube videos.

Yes, I know the Sketch Marathon is still going and I haven't posted anything yet. This is just a future reference thing, just in case I forget.

Regarding my art:

1. Business ideas. I mentioned opening a Society6, but I have absolutely no idea what to draw to submit to it. Anything you guys wanna see from me? I'm also thinking about other ways to market my art, but I don't have anything completely solid.

2. A new Challenge. Hopefully, I'll make it within the week.

I've got some other stuff in the pipeline, but I want those to be a surprise.

So, what of these ideas interests you?
