Hello and welcome to Keba's Anime and Manga Place (KAAMP for short)! Here at KAAMP, I write about anime and manga that I have seen/read as well as my views on them. I'll also post about my original stories from time to time.

Just beware that some of my posts contain spoilers. I'll put them in spoiler tags just in case.

KAAMP's history: KAAMP was created in July 2002 by yours truly. It was a sloppy-looking website on Yahoo's now defunct Geocities. I posted my anime fan art on that site. Also, for a time, I posted my thoughts on the few anime series that I had seen. Now that I look back on it, my thoughts were rather ill-informed (is that even a word?) because I had only seen bits and pieces of anime dubs. Now that I've seen more series, I think that my commentary on various anime will be a little better than before.

So, come on in and stay awhile! KAAMP is now in session.

Over My Head

No, I'm not talking about that song by The Fray. *Shot.* I'm talking about gearing up for 2015.

To start off, I have to finish four more prizes and a Secret Santa pic before the year is done. Then I'm going to be sketching one character per day starting January 1. I hope I can keep up the pace-- especially since I'll likely be watching anime all the while to find more characters to sketch.

In addition to that, I'd like to do some more drawings. I bought this marker board type paper stuff and I've been dying to try it out. I might use it for some OC pictures.

Aside from otaku-related endeavors, I have to get my act together and play my guitar more. I keep procrastinating no matter what kind of incentive I give myself.

Other things I should do are open up an online store to sell my knitting or get a fourth job. I'd rather do the former unless I'm hired for some kind of dream job. Either way, with that and my other jobs, I don't know if I'm going to find the time for everything.

I know most of this is fun stuff that I WANT to do rather than HAVE to do, but still I feel stressed about it. If you haven't noticed, I'm a very ambitious person with very little drive. Stupid depression getting in the way of life.

Where was I going with this? I have no idea. It kind of turned into a vent post. At least it's better than going crazy in solitude.

Gimme Anime!

I have a bit of a problem. For those of you in the Sketch Marathon, you might know what it is. While sketching 365 characters isn't a problem (challenge, yes, but not a problem... yet), I have to figure out 365 characters that I want to sketch.

I've written down a list of series to sketch characters from, although I haven't figured out which ones to sketch from each series. Who do I include? Who do I exclude?

I'm going to draw more characters from the series that I really, really like as opposed to the ones that I only kinda like. Still, my list of series is kind of pitiful since some of those that I'm really into, I haven't finished. I'm trying to group these drawings by series, so I don't want to sketch characters from a series that I haven't finished, only to find, after the fact, that I wanted to draw that one character that they hadn't introduced yet.

And even if I do finish all those series, do I have enough characters to carry me through to the end of the year?

I never thought I'd say this anytime soon, but do you people have any anime you could recommend to me? I'd prefer short series (30 episodes or less) without anything... graphic. It's OK if you mention series that I already watch/watched/want to watch anyway-- there might be sequels and OVAs.

I leave you now with a final thought. ♪

Attention Otakuites! Our beloved admin, ItachiSasuke, needs your help!

For the whole month of December Ita-san is featuring users on theO's official Facebook page. So far, Hifsa, Toya, and Nikkeh have all had their work featured. Since it's one member per day, there are 28 more people to be featured. That's where you come in.

Please PM ItachiSasuke with your nominations. Don't leave any comments about who you're nominating-- it's a surprise.

If you're wondering, I have nominated someone... then I nominated someone else... and then I nominated three more (I hope they'll all be featured soon). I'm guessing there must be some repeat nominees, so you can nominate more than one person. Just don't list 28 people; that might give Ita-san a hard time.

Something else that would be helpful is to include some Fan Works of your nominee(s). Maybe you could even say what you like about the nominee(s) or their work. Have fun with it. Spread the lo~ve. ♪

Would anyone be willing to give me a one-on-one digital art lesson? I'm coloring the prizes that I'm constantly talking about, but the highlighting and shading look UGLY. I want these prizes to be worth the wait (it's been almost half a year) and I'd really appreciate some help on making them the best that they can be.

I guess we could arrange a time, I'd PM you a join.me link, and you'd just make comments about my work. If you have a better idea than that, I'd love to hear it.

Thank you very much!

Edit: I hate to be annoying, but I'm going to bump this post occasionally.

Edit Part Deux: After a YouTube video and some experimenting, I think I have a lot more clarity, and can proceed on the pictures. Thanks for your offers of support, everyone.

MY GREED KNOWS NO LIMITS!!

*Shot.*

Aaanyway this is going to be a list of the many, many options that my Secret Santa can draw for me. But before I get down to typing out the good stuff, I gotta clear the air on a few things.

1. I don't actually celebrate Christmas. So why am I participating? Refer to the first sentence of this post. It's actually because my birthday happens to be the same day as Christmas. You don't have to include anything birthday related, though.

2. I'd rather have a piece of work that is 100% yours (no matter how good/bad you think it is) than a "lump of coal". By that, I mean tracing, bases, screenshots, character generators, or outright theft.

3. I don't care how many characters you pack into the picture. You can draw one. You can draw them all. Actually, I wouldn't recommend you draw them all. You'd probably want to kill me by the end.

4. Parts of this list will be copied and pasted from last year. I will add and subtract parts as necessary. In fact, this whole first bit, save for point 3 and a few extra flourishes, was copied directly from last year's wishlist.

Now, the fun part!

First Tier-- series that I'm currently obsessing over (favorite characters in parentheses, and in no particular order):

"Fullmetal Alchemist" (I really like all of the major players in the manga, so you can't go wrong there. My two favorite characters are Alphonse and Greed [traditional form]. Yeah, like you couldn't tell I'm a Greed fangirl.) Note: I'm not as big of the first anime, and I have yet to see "Brotherhood" (I'm STILL saving for the DVDs-- or hoping that someone will give them as a birthday present), but I have read the whole manga. Since the manga and "Brotherhood" are so well aligned, you don't have to worry about including characters that I haven't seen animated.

"Death Note" (L, Ryuk, Matsuda [I'm serious about this, guys], and I kind of like Light, even though he's so corrupt.)

"Gurren Lagann" (Kamina, Simon, Yoko, Nia, and Viral [the last of which seriously needs more love].)

"Sailor Moon" (I like all the Sailor Senshi Scouts Soldiers Guardians, but my favorite is Sailor Saturn.) Note: I have not seen all the episodes in the first series, but I have read the entire manga. I like the manga/"Crystal" continuity better, but I'm more of a fan of the first series' art style.

"The Seven Deadly Sins" No one's gonna do this. (Any of the first four Sins that were introduced, as well as Elizabeth, Hawk, and Elaine is fine with me. Just no pervy stuff. Also, Ban x Elaine [AKA Banlaine] is my ultimate OTP.) ♬ Note: I'm up to date on the manga, but I haven't seen the anime (it's not legally available). I know that the anime has followed the manga pretty closely so far, so don't worry about spoilers.

Second Tier-- series that I really, really like but not I'm obsessing over (favorite character in parentheses, and in no particular order):

"Naruto" and "Naruto Shippuden"(Hinata, Sakura, Chouji, Lee, and Deidara. But I wouldn't want a picture of Deidara with the others unless they're battling or something. You can add the other young Leaf Ninja or Akatsuki if you want, but I do want one of the five characters listed above to be included.) Note: I am not up-to-date with the series. I'm at the part where Naruto is on his way to meet Killer Bee.

"Inuyasha" (I like the core cast members, but my favorite is Shippou.) Note: I have not finished the series. I am finished with the part where Inuyasha breaks Naraku's barrier, and ALMOST defeats him.

"Attack on Titan" (Armin is my absolute favorite, but Mikasa and Eren are cool, too.) Note: I have finished the anime, but I have not read the manga.

"Yu Yu Hakusho" (My favorite is Kurama, but I also really like Yusuke and Kuwabara. I'm not crazy about Hiei as much as the others, but I hope he'll grow on me.) Note: I have not finished the series. I just got to the part where Yusuke's egg is about to hatch. Then the DVD I borrowed was too scratched up to continue.

"Slayers" (I want a picture of Lina being AWESOME.) Note: I haven't finished the series. In fact, I just started watching it last night. I'm only three episodes in, but I'm already hooked.

Please keep all characters as in-character as possible. Crossovers are welcome, but not necessary. If you, for some reason, want to draw me with any of the characters I mentioned, please respect my principles and don't ship me with anyone. I don't want any established characters to go out-of-character for me.

I'd be THRILLED if you drew any of my OCs. If you want to know more about them, check my Portfolio or the Charahub account that I just created. Sorry for making you hunt, but I'm just trying to save some space.

Told ya it'd be a long list of options. I even cut out a lot of the things on last year's wishlist, and it STILL took me over an hour to type and edit all this.

Thanks in advance. Of course I'll also thank you when you post whatever you picked for me. It would only be fair if I added to my Favorites as well. But I just want to thank you now anyway. I can't wait to see what you draw for me! ♪

Merry Christmas to you and jovial Keba-mas to me.
