Hello and welcome to Keba's Anime and Manga Place (KAAMP for short)! Here at KAAMP, I write about anime and manga that I have seen/read as well as my views on them. I'll also post about my original stories from time to time.

Just beware that some of my posts contain spoilers. I'll put them in spoiler tags just in case.

KAAMP's history: KAAMP was created in July 2002 by yours truly. It was a sloppy-looking website on Yahoo's now defunct Geocities. I posted my anime fan art on that site. Also, for a time, I posted my thoughts on the few anime series that I had seen. Now that I look back on it, my thoughts were rather ill-informed (is that even a word?) because I had only seen bits and pieces of anime dubs. Now that I've seen more series, I think that my commentary on various anime will be a little better than before.

So, come on in and stay awhile! KAAMP is now in session.

Ad for an RP

No, not my RP. 'Cause I'm not all that great at doing stuff like that.

I'm here to advertise TheDarkEclipse's Star Wars RP, Order of the Fifth Republic. He's looking for three or four more people to get it started.

I'm not actually part of the RP. As I said, I have very little RP experience. If you have any questions, contact TDE through the World link I provided.

What Do You Do with a Neglected Tumblr?

Edit: Thanks for the input, everyone! I think this is going to be one of those "little of this, little of that" blogs. I just added a post.

This might be off topic, but here goes...

This is my Tumblr. As you can see, it has exactly two posts. I was going to make it my music blog, but it seems that my album is coming along much slower than I thought it would. Hence, why there are only two posts from a few Decembers ago.

So, what should I do? I can't add more of my music, so should I just keep it as it is? Should I scrap the idea of it being a music blog? If so, what should I make it? And do I keep the music posts?

Here are my ideas of what the blog could be (aside from or in addition to music):

  • My art
  • My knitting
  • A personal journal
  • Something involving my OCs
  • Something to market myself
  • A combination of any and all of these

Generating Activity-- UPDATE

I'd like to do some brainstorming with anyone who's willing.

As you know, theO has been kind of dull lately. I was thinking about a few things to generate more activity.

The first thing that comes to mind is the Chat. Being a Premium user, I occasionally check to see who's online. Usually, it's about five people and NONE of them are chatting.

I've been kicking around a chat-based variation of the "ask us" comics that have been going around theO. Basically, a different person hosts the chat each time and anyone who stops by interviews/interacts with the host's OCs. The host would make an announcement post about it. You know, something like a livestream.

Speaking of which, I know Elricz was trying to organize livestreams through a World. I don't know if anything is coming of that, but apparently I'm a guest poster. I guess that's going off-topic a little bit. Or maybe not because it's another idea for theO.

Anyone else got any ideas for theO (aside from the obvious "submit and comment more")? Feel free to add something in the comments.

If you guys like the idea of an "ask us" chat session, I'd like to possibly host one tomorrow (Saturday).

Update: The chat session will be sometime around 7pm Central. I hope to see you there!

Update part deux: Chat is open! The room is called "KSR's OC Chat". Come and stay as long as you like. If no one shows up, I'll close it at 7:30 Central.

Update the Third: Chat is closed. It was nice talking to Clue, even though I didn't really accomplish what I had come for.

Second Seasons

In the past few days, I've read news of two confirmed anime sequels that I'm interested in.

The first one I'd like to address is the second season of The Seven Deadly Sins. I made a comment on the Crunchyroll page confirming the news, but in case you don't want to access the link, I'll add it here with some elaborations.

I don't know how to take this news. On the one hand, I'm happy they're giving it a sequel, but on the other hand, I haven't seen the original anime.

Even though I haven't seen it, I do know that it covered the first major story arc, which was about 100 chapters. How they were able to cram all that into 24 episodes is beyond me. Since the second season will premiere sometime in 2016, I wonder how faithful it could be to the second (current) arc. Since I've been following the manga, I have a feeling that there's not enough source material for them to follow.

The other thing to speculate is the licencing issues. I'm pretty sure the Netflix rumors were simply that-- rumors. If they had it, they would have announced it by now. After all, it's been a year since the premiere, and the hype has died down. Anime News Network has an article that supports this hypothesis.

Now that I think about it, maybe the sequel is a good way to regenerate interest so that someone can finally pick it up. Hopefully, that someone is Crunchyroll. Heck, anyone with an option to stream it for free would be great.

The second bit of news that I'm excited about is that the third story arc of Sailor Moon is going to be rebooted. This makes me happy. Sure Sailor Moon Crystal had flaws, but it wasn't without merits. I'm optimistic about the new season, maybe naively so, but even if it's at the same level as the first SMC, I'll still watch it.

My biggest worry is that with all the delays that SMC went through, who knows when this one will premiere? Then there's the question of whether it will follow the same broadcasting format or not. Getting only two episodes per month was torture. Then again, the ritual of getting up at some ridiculous hour in the morning to watch it was kind of fun.

Doing Stuff, but Wanting to Do Something Else

I'm feeling like drawing, but I don't know what to draw. And I know I have that one pic to do for Judai, but it's really kicking my butt. So is the Sketch Marathon. But I swear I'll catch up on those.

What I really want to do is some art trades. I just don't think it's fair to do them, though, seeing that I'm still not done with Judai's pic. I'm so torn about this.

I'm having a similar problem with my anime watching. There are so many series that I want to start, but I want to clear out my backlog first. The one that I'm concentrating on now is, of all things, Inuyasha. I've always meant to finish it, but never did. I thought that drawing the characters for the Sketch Marathon would help, but it hasn't really.

Other series that I want to finish are Sailor Moon (the entirely, but that will take time, since Hulu is only posting two eps a week) and Slayers (again, the entirety). Right now, I'll settle for clearing out the third season of SM and the first Slayers series.

The one thing that I have got done is the third chapter of "Rebels". I still have to go back and proof-read, but at least I typed the thing out.
