chapter 1:leaving

“Ah such a lovely day, hey Ray?” Mikeala positively said as they were chaperoning through the small town.
“Um yeah totally. We better hurry before someone catches us or something.” Ray sounded a bit nervous.
“Oh come on Ray, don’t be such a spoil sport, be positive! We never get to do this anymore!”
“Come one and get something.”
“Fine, fine.” Mikeala grunted. They were in the market, and Mikeala was looking at what the stalls sold. She had only bought a little blue box with sequins on it that she ‘fell in love’ with. Now she was looking at some jewelry at a stall. “Ooh what about this one Ray!” Mikeala cheerfully said, holding up a brown leather bracelet which was braided and was sparkling in the sunlight. Ray turned around and looked at the bracelet.
“It’s beautiful Mikeala, I think you should buy it.” He actually meant it.
“Really?”
“Yeah.”
“Can you help me put it on?”
“Sure.” Mikeala held out her left arm and Ray tied the bracelet securely around her wrist. When he finished tying the bracelet, she looked at it and smiled.
“Thanks.”
“Your welcome. Now pay for it and let’s go.” So Mikeala paid for the bracelet and went back home.

“Hey, I’m just gonna go hunting for a while. I’ll be back ok?” Mikeala called out. “Bye!” she said as she ran out the door.
“Mikeala wait- oh man.” Ray called out.

While Mikeala was hunting, Ray was peacefully reading a book, eating an apple. He then heard sounds, and voices. “Who are those people?” one voice said. “Mommy, they scare me.” Another one said. Ray walked out the door to see a group of people walking tall and proud. They were pale, wearing black cloaks and scary red eyes. Whenever someone would get in their way, they would carelessly push them aside and they didn’t care. that’s pretty careless. Ray thought. He went back inside, then he heard Mikeala’s voice. “Ray I’m home!” she called out loudly. “Would you like-“
“Shhh.” Ray interrupted, covering Mikeala’s mouth. “There’s um…visitors here.” Then Ray took his hand off Mikeala’s mouth.
“Jeez Ray, you could of just told me. So anyways, would you like anything?” Mikeala whispered.
“No, I’m ok.” Ray said as he picked up his book and his apple.
“Um Ray, I have to tell you something.” Mikeala said, sounding nervous.
“What is it Mikeala?”
“Well you see. We have to get out of here.”
“What are you talking about Mikeala?” Ray was surprised.
“We have to get out of here Ray! Those visitors that you were talking about, do they wear black cloaks and have scary red eyes?”
“Yeah, why?”
“Well they’re after us, ok? They know that there’s supernatural creatures in this town and they’re out to get us.”
“How did you know this Mikeala?” Ray looked dumb founded.
“Because, I was just peacefully hunting and I saw them; running faster than a human being could ever run. They saw me, and they tried to attack me. I escaped from them, but after that, I heard them talking to someone saying that there’s two supernatural creatures living in the town were staying right now. Oh and I also found one of my parent’s killers but she got away sadly. She was right there and ugh, I wish I could’ve got her.” Mikeala kept talking sounding very nervous. “Ray, we have to get out of here!” she couldn’t breathe properly so Ray got a glass of water and handed it to her.
“It’s ok Mikeala. If you want to, then let’s go. We’ll live just before dawn because I can sense that those visitors will hunt at night. Does that sound great to you?”
“Yes. Thank you Ray.” Mikeala got up and hugged Ray.
“Your welcome. We better start getting ready and not leave any evidence that we were here, right?”
“Yeah. This means we better change our scent then.”

So, Mikeala and Ray got to it. They burned almost everything that didn’t matter to them and purified the house so there wasn’t any sense of werewolf or demon smell. And just before dawn, they were ready.
“You sure you wanna do this Mikeala?” Ray asked.
“Yeah, of course I do.” Mikeala answered back. “What about you Ray?”
“Yes, I am. Let’s go.” And they took off.
