Random rants about whatever happens to come into my brain at the time. >_>

Life

It's been a little quiet lately hasn't it? I imagine everyone is getting ready for the holidays (those that live in the US anyway). I wish everyone a happy holiday.

Thanks

Just wanted to leave a quick note (to whoever spends their time reading this) to say thank you so much for all your support. I have been using TheOtaku for a couple years now and nothing excites me more than to log on and see 'hugs' and comments on my artwork. This community has been so supportive and I just thank all you guys for your kindness.

Sappy I know but what can I say? I'm in an 'okay' mood today.

Moving on

So I haven't been here in a while. A lot of things have been going on in my life that has prevented me from being online and more importantly on this site. So, lets get caught up to speed with each other shall we?

First, I am happy to say that I finished my book. All three Comatose books featuring Garrick, Kitarro and Cain plus some other characters is finally completed. I am so thrilled about it. Though it doesn't make any money for me the completion of that was more like a completion of a bad part of my own life that I can finally put behind me. If you want to see it you have to buy it (sorry). But you can see the title cover here: http://www.lulu.com/egotripx

There's also a calendar on there too (for 2011 so that's kind of old I guess).

What am I working on now you ask? Well I am working on a calendar for 2012 featuring... yes, Kitarro and Garrick. I am more focused on them than fan-based art anymore. I guess I just decided to invest in myself for once and they are a big part of my life so I need to display them and let other people experience their weird crazyness too.

I've also been writing here and there but nothing solid yet. I plan to publish a real book (not a manga) eventually. That dream is still going just hasn't quite come to complete fruition yet.

And what has been keeping me from getting online you ask? Well I moved, I got a new job... so factor all that in and that's why. It was a startling new change but definitely worth it. Life is much better now.

That's about it. I'll post some pictures... did anyone even notice I was gone? lol

Comatose

For several years now I have been working on the same project. To say that I've become obsessed is a bit of an understatement. How can one person go for so long on the same thing? I guess it's entirely possible. I am a fan of my own art, which is, in some ways, very pathetic. But, being a fan, I feel I should advertise myself a little.

If anyone has been wondering where I have been the past few months I will tell you. I have been away, writing and drawing out pages and pages to make into a graphic novel. Although not 100% complete, I finally self-published the first book and set it up for sale yesterday.

I do not expect it to do anything for me. This book was more for me than it was for the whatever "fame" that probably won't come with it. However, if you like have ever been through a relationship disaster, if you like demons, pirates, angels and have the sick fascination with death as I do then I would recommend this book for you.

If that doesn't appeal to you how about Kitarro? He's in it. Does that do anything for you?

Anyway, I know it's cheap to advertise but in addition to that, I just wanted to thank all my friends on here that have followed me through the years and seen how my crappy work has progressed. I really appreciate all the support you guys have shown me. By no means am I leaving the Otaku but if you don't see me for a while it's because I'm working on this book project. I have a couple more that I need to do. I will try to keep up with you guys as much as I can but I just wanted to thank you all for all your good (and bad) comments. It really has helped me more than you know.

If you would like to buy this book that I have been talking about I would greatly appreciate it. I am not getting rich off this thing by any means (publishing fees are a killer). Here is the link:

Again, thank you guys for all the love. It truly does mean more than you know.

THANK YOU GUYS!

Thank you guys for all the birthday wishes! I appreciate them very much! Hope you have a great day. Ya-ha!!
