Chapter 53: Some History about the University

♢Nori♢

Eevie turned her back to me. She was slightly shaking as she hugged herself. She didn’t want to her why I was with Nori, what situation I’m in…because she didn’t want to hurt me…Does she have that bad of a past where she things that I’m going to think she’s some sort of monster? I got up and hugged her from behind and rested my cheek against the back of her head taking in her sent.

“Eevie…” Noel’s concerned voice echoed in my head. “What can we do to cheer her up?”

“You have a very beautiful aura around you.” I said quietly as I held onto her. “And you smell like vanilla. Both you and Elena have the same smell and aura.”

She didn’t say anything back to me but I could feel her heart beating in her chest. “Honestly I don’t think that it’s just a coincidence that we’re both here, we’re both bonded to a human. I don’t know and I don’t care if your reason is the same as mine or not. But I swear to you if you are the one that I’m betrothed to I’ll never let you go, no matter what baggage your carrying with you.” I said hugging her a bit tighter. “I know it’s a slim chance, but I know there’s still a chance. Even if you aren’t, I’ll still care so so much about you Eevie, so please don’t push me away. Don’t push us away. The same goes for Elena and Noel. They both worry about it just as much as I do.”

“But Nori…Eevie didn’t want to know the reason why you bonded with me.” Noel commented. “Do you think that was the best idea?”

I pulled away from her slightly and teleported in front of her. She had tears and a shocked expression on her face. I brought both my hands up and wiped away the tears. A soft smile made its way onto my lips and I leaned in and kissed her. She kissed me back. I was falling for Eevie just as much as Noel was falling for Elena. After we pulled apart I smiled a little. “You’re not mad at me are you?” I asked her and she shook her head.

“No, I’m not mad at you…I’m disappointed in myself.” She answered with a sad look in her eyes.

“You shouldn’t be disappointed in yourself. You do an amazing job with everything you do. I’ve never met someone as skilled in spells as you are and you have a smoking hot body that is on par with that mind of yours.” I smiled.

She brought her hand up to my face and she flicked my nose. “Don’t get too feisty now lover boy.” Eevie said playfully. I was able to at least bring a smile to her face and she didn’t look at sad.

“Oh your traveling concealing spell works great by the way.” I mentioned and the smile that I was able to get on her face was now gone and a slightly more so a what did you do stare spread across her face. “Well…we kinda took it for a test run last night.” I slipped my right hand under my hair and rubbed the back of my neck. I felt her grab my kimono and pull me in close to her.

“I guess my expression wasn’t enough so I’ll say it, what did you two do?” She asked she looked kinda terrifying when she’s mad.

“We went to the library and tried to find Alexa and Austin, but they weren’t there. Their scents entered the library and just to be safe we did check the study rooms, they weren’t in any of those either so we went back to the first floor and I was able to follow Austin’s faint scent but it literally stopped against a wall and I lost it completely.” I explained her expression getting more terrifying the more I talked.

Her eye twitched and she grabbed my Kimono with her other hand so that both her hands were on me and she started to shake me. “Are you fucking insane?? You could have gotten hurt if you were caught and who’s to say that whatever is going on with the two of them noticed that you were around hua? You could have been killed.” She lectured me.

“I’m sorry I’m sorry I’m sorry.” I apologized profusely as she shook me.

Soon enough she stopped shaking me and hugged me. “If your going to do something so reckless please tell me next time. No matter how tired I am I don’t want you to get into trouble that you can’t get out of.” She said and leaned against me. “I have half a mind to punt you off this damn roof top right now.” She laughed lightly.

“We’re both really sorry.” I said again and put my arms around her.

After she relaxed we figured that we should let Elena and Noel back into control and they started to clean up everything. “Oh Elena I have a question.” Noel started as they sat around on the roof not totally wanting to go back inside yet. I’m sure that it was because they knew what was waiting for them in their rooms, that dreaded thing called homework.

“Sure shoot.” She smiled at him with a slight tip of her head.

“If we can get our homework caught up at a decent time, would you want to go swimming with me? I still haven’t checked out the school pool and I really want to.” He mentioned. I completely forgot about that to be honest.

Elena up her finger to her lips and tapped them lightly looking up at the sky before responding with her cute smile and a nod. “Sure I don’t see why not.” Noel was going to say something but she put her fingers to his lips and gave him a serious look. “But the homework needs to be done. I swear I will check.” She mentioned and Noel chuckled.

“Okay mom.” He snickered and she lightly punched his shoulder. I felt someone’s presence appear around us but before I could say anything Noel was pulled away from Elena.

Elena and I were having a good time and then I felt a hand on the side of my head and a split second later my face is being mushed into something really soft. “I found you! Do you realize how hard you two are to find?” It was Aiko’s voice. Which means that…She’s pressing my face into her chest.

“A-Aiko, p-please let go of me.” My voice was muffled as she hugged me tighter and pressed my face further into her chest. My face heated up so much. And Aiko was doing this right in front of Elena.

“Oh I’m sorry what was that baby brother I couldn’t quiet make it out.” She giggled, “I’m not letting go till you give me a hug back.”

I wrapped my arms around her waist and hugged her in return. She finally let me go and I took a deep breath of air. Well tried it was a mixture of both vanilla and lavender, but it smelled nice together. “Oh it wasn’t that bad was it?” Aiko puffed out her cheeks and I laughed a bit.

“I couldn’t breath Aiko. It’s kind of necessary for me to be able to breath.” I mentioned. And she giggled and waved her hand at me.

“Your being silly, Nori has survived many of my hugs over the years so you can too.” She said and then her gaze instantly went to Elena. He was a slightly harsh gaze. “And who is this?” She asked a little more seriously her cat ears starting to lower against her head.

“This is my really good friend Elena France. Elena this is Nori’s older sister Aiko.” I explained introducing both of them to each other.

“I’m your older sister too Noel, you are apart of this family. We may not have adoption whatever it is you humans have, but you are the youngest in the family now.” Aiko corrected me and crossed her arms over my chest. “I’m assuming your bonded as well.” She got right to the point with Elena. Then she gasped and pulled me back into her. Once again my face being pressed into her chest and she started stroking my hair. “You’re not trying to steal away my baby brother are you???”

‘Well aren’t we popular~’
Nori chuckled in my head and if I could I would be glaring at him right now.

"She’s your sister can’t you do something about it?” I questioned.

‘He, sorry Noel like she said she’s your sister too. You’ve gotta learn how to get out of it.’
His chuckle turned into laugher and I rolled my eyes.

“A-Aiko, why are you here?” I asked and she pulled me out of her grasp once more. Victory achieved.

“Oh right, that letter that you and Nori sent me. I did some digging and apparently this school has been a hot spot for paranormal activity ever since it was built. But when the demon council realized that human can in fact bond with a human. Which is an interesting story actually with the first human and demon bonding. Apparently it happened long before this school came around. But, here’s the catch. A few years after the demon council allowed humans to bond with demons here, there has also been a group of exorcists. It was started by the Drago family. The Drago family has a natural talent for exorcism and can adapt quickly. At least that’s how to stories go. They came to the school to start training other humans that were special in the ways of exorcism, but the under history of this place says that the Drago family just seemed to disappear…” Aiko explained as the three of us sat on the roof top.

“So what? Does that mean that the exorcist group should have disbanded?” I asked a bit confused.

“That’s what the files say, but I doubt that’s the case. Especially with what you said about that group killing that demon in your letter. I’m sure that they are very much so stronger then they have been before. And I feel like the reason they are doing this is to try to find a decent to the Drago family.” Aiko said crossing her arms once again.

“MASTER NORI, MASTER NOEL!” Yun’s voice rang out and I looked over to see him in his cotton form squeezing out from under the door and flying over to us. He sounded in a panic. “Lady Aiko you’re here too?”

“Why are you in such a panic Yun?” Elena asked him then there was a loud banging on the door.

‘Noel!’
Nori called out and we switched places. Right as we did Nori grabbed both Elena and Aiko and pulled them down to the roof top. Something wized above our heads and pinged against the door. It came from another roof top. But how long have they been there. Neither of us sensed anything and neither did Aiko. Nori rolled over Elena and pushed her to Aiko. “Take her home. I’m grabbing our bags and I’ll be right behind you.”

“Nori, Eevie and I can help.” Elena objected.

“We’re not fighting about this right now.” Nori mentioned as he got up high enough and reached for the bags. Another whatever it is whistled over us and the door slammed open just as Nori grabbed onto mine and Elena’s bags.

When Nori looked back Aiko was already gone. “Repent for your sins demon.” A male voice called out and a glistening came flying towards us. We didn’t stick around long enough to find out what that liquid was. We teleported back to the demon world. I was just as scared as Nori was considering we couldn’t tell how many people were actually there. We did a quick stop in front of the demon council building and took the portal back to the manor and teleported there. Elena and Aiko were there and I sighed in relief.

“What should we do?” Nori asked crossing his arms over his chest with a sigh after he set both bags down on the floor of the manor.

“I’m so sorry, this is all my fault. I couldn’t hold it any more so I went to the bathroom and when I was floating back to the room that’s when I got holy water splashed at me. I didn’t want to hurt them because they were humans. So I flew up the stairs and then all this happened.” Yun apologized.

“Yun it’s fine. The last thing I needed to happen was lose my best friend. I’m glad your safe.” Nori commented as Yun landed in his hands.

“I don’t know if father’s going to allow you to go back to school. You know we have to tell him about this.” Aiko sighed.

“But Noel can’t miss school. He’s only allowed to miss a certain number of days for unexcused absents.” Nori tried to reason with Aiko.

“You’ll have to talk with father about it.” She shook her head and rubbed my temples and groaned a little. This was going to be a huge problem. Hopefully we can convince him to let us go back to the school.
