Chapter 3: A New Friend, A New Flirty Buddy

The nice warm day made it perfect to be moving in. The breeze that was coming into the room was also warm, but it still slightly cooled the room. I could tell that we were getting close to the end of August with this heat.

I sat on my bed and looked out the window there were so many people that were moving in today. I’m glad that I got here early to be honest. I was excited to see Austin again. He was really cool. I was glad to have him as a roommate. I hope that we will be able to get along. That was always the most nervous thing with rooming with someone that you don’t know.

But he wasn’t here yet. “Maybe if I go for a walk and explore the campus a bit more he’ll be here when I get back.” I hopped off my bed and slipped my shoes back on. I neglected to tie my shoes the strings were out of my way so it wasn’t bad and I wasn’t planning on running anywhere so having loose shoes didn’t bother me.

I grabbed my key card and shut and locked the door then headed down the stairs to the main lobby. I wandered out and went to the center of campus first. That’s where the school’s mascot statue was. The statue was a wolf that was howling. I’m sure that if you came out at the right time during the night and stood in the right spot it would look like it was howling at the moon. I would have to try it when it’s a full moon at some point.

“I’ll have to make sure that I have my camera when I do. I’m sure that my family would love to see a picture like that.” I muttered to myself.

“Well look who I found.” I turned as saw a familiar face. I smiled a little when Elena came walking up to me.

“H-hey.” I greeted quietly.

“Awe why the stutter? I had you talking full sentences to me on the tours. And your quiet took.” Elena added crossing her arms under her chest.

I laughed lightly and shoved my hands in my pockets. “I’ll get better. I-I promise you that. I-I just need some time is all.”

“Oh I’ll make sure of that.” She smiled confidently at me.

I couldn’t help but smile a bit, some how I could tell that she wasn’t lying. “Challenge accepted.” I said.

“Are you going to make it difficult for me to do?” She rose an eye brow.

I shook my head. “I-I guess you’ll have to wait and see. S-so what are you up to?” I asked trying to change the subject.

“I wanted to explore the campus a bit.” She answered and looked up at the statue. “It’s really beautifully crafted isn’t it?”

I looked back up at the stone carved statue and nodded in agreement “It is.” There was a silence between us. It wasn’t too bad of a silence. Only slightly weird since we didn’t really know each other. “When di you move in by the way?” I asked breaking the silence.

“Yesterday, I had to fill out some extra papers so admissions allowed me to do an early sign in. What about you?” Elena answered.

“I got here this morning. I-I figured that I would wander around campus to wait for my roommate.” I responded. “The statue was my first stop.”

“Why did you pick the statue for your first stop?” She tipped her head to the right.

I chuckled a little, “You’ll probably laugh at me for my answer.” I spoke quietly.

“Try me.” Her lips curled into a smile.

“Well…I believe in ghosts and spirits and all that other worldly stuff.” I answered truthfully. I didn’t know how she was going to take it. Was she going to laugh at me? It was hard for me to tell people that I was into that stuff, but I kind feel like I can trust her with it.

Who knows, maybe I’m not alone in this and she believes in it too. That or she’s going to think I’m crazy and never want to talk to me again. And that would mean my first friend that I made here wouldn’t be my friend any more and I would have to start all over again and try to make another friend. I pray that it was the first solution and not the second one.

♦Nori♦

“Hi, I’m Eevie.” I turned my head and looked down to see a very beautiful young women standing beside me. She had long mid back length hair that was blonde on the top and black underneath. And the wave of her hair helps frame her amazing curves. Her irises took over the majority of her eyes only allowing a small bit of her whites to show. I had felt the presence of her getting closer, but when in front of the council I didn’t have any worry of being attacked.

“Hello.” I smiled sweetly down at her. “My name is Nori. It’s a pleasure to meet you Eevie.”

“Aren’t you formal.” She smiled back at me corssing her arms under her chest and I’m sure that she didn’t mean to but lifted her amazing breasts. No matter how revealing or vulgar as my mother and father would say her clothing was their teachings subconsciously forced me to keep my composure and steady my quickening paced heart.

“Yeah, sometimes it hard for me to get out of that mode when I don’t have to be in it.” I answered truthfully. “But what’s a beautiful woman like yourself doing here at the council?” I cocked my hip out to the left slightly and rested my hand on my hips looking into deep her black eyes.

“I’m more then likely here for the same thing you are.” She mentioned and showed me the back side of the sheet of paper that she was holding.

A smirked spread across my lips, “Ah, so your going to take your beauty and bond with another. I hope that your human is just as beautiful as you are.” I smiled sweetly at her. If not I’m still not too sure how this works, but I’ve heard from other demons if a human and a demon are bonded long enough the demon will begin to effect their human. I’ve heard only their personality or only the human’s appearance. I’ve also heard that we as demons affect both the human’s personality and appearance. Who knows really.

“Mmm, that flirting needs a little work honey.” She giggled at me looking down my body for a moment then back up to my face. With the clothing that I wear, I left a lot of things to question. What does the rest of my body look like, the only bare skin I revile other than my head neck were my arms and then a little bit of my feet. Eevie on the other hand left nothing to question with her tight skinny jeans and crop top.

“Oh really now? Please do tell how I should flirt?” I slid myself between her and the wall that was holding the photos and placed my pointer finger and middle finger under her chin. “Should we make it a competition on who can flirt better? Or should we just try it on each other?”

“Now why would that be fun? How about we try something more exciting.” Her beautiful soft looking lips curled into a grin.

“Hm if this is about seducing the same sex, I promise you won’t win I swing both ways.” I mentioned leaning down so my face was closer to hers, not that there was much distance to cover since she was fairly close to my height.

“HEY HEY HEY master Nori.” My cotton puff of a friend Yun came flying in between us and hit me in the face popping back to his human form and I held my hand out for him to fall into.

“Yes Yun?” I asked him chuckling a bit.

“You know better then to treat a lady like that.” Yun huffed at me.

“Says the cotton puff who can’t hold his cotton form when he runs into something.” I smirked and his face got all red and he huffed at me. I couldn’t help but chuckle and pulled my hand away from Eevie’s chin. “This is rude of me. Eevie this is my best friend Yun. Yun, this is Eevie.”

“Please don’t think of master Nori as rude, he comes off strong, but he’s just trying to play.” Yun apologized for me. I laughed a bit at his comment and rubbed the back of my head.

“Anyways different topic. My human’s name is Noel Sobel. What do you think the chances of my human and your human knowing each other before the bonding? I’m sure it would make it easier for us to get to know each other more.” I said still with the tinge of flirting still in my voice. I wanted to keep flirting she was fun to play with.
