Left for Dead:

It had been days since Kita was out in the sands of Hueco Mundo, let alone to the Forest of Menos’. She was sure that Uijkiyo was fine. He knew how to take care of himself and the ones here still had no clue of him. So she had no worries, though, she still wondered at times if he was safe from the reaches of Aizen. It was one evening Kita finally got her chance to escape the confines of Los Noches. Aizen had Ulquiorra’s full attention that evening and she knew it would be hours before he would be free of that man. So with that she headed to the gates of Los Noches. Pausing she looked out across the deserted sands.

“Only a couple of hours,” she told herself. “He will know I am gone, but maybe he will be to busy to notice the change in the reiatsu around the palace.” With that she nodded her head and sonidoed across the sands to the Forest of Menos’.

However, also standing outside the gate, Nnoitra stood waiting for Kita’s appearance. He knew it would only be a matter of time and she would defy Ulquiorra leaving Los Noches, and he knew tonight of all nights would be it since Ulquiorra was detained. A wide grin spread across his face as he watched her disappear from the gate entrance. He gave her a few minutes and sonidoed after her.

Once there Kita headed to Ujikiyo’s hoping to find him quickly. She could not feel his presents in the forest, but wrote that off as him hiding like he always does. She however left her reiatsu at a normal level hoping he would know she was there and come looking for her in return. Walking farther along she finally stepped into the clearing, and was half way to Uijkiyo’s place. Walking through she looked up at the moon that hung high above her when all of sudden she felt a spike in the reiatsu. Quickly she grabbed the hilt of her sword. This reiatsu was very familiar to her and she knew there was a fight waiting to happen as soon as he appeared. Looking around she saw nothing when she heard a noise behind her. Quickly she spun drawing her sword defending herself.

Nnoitra came at her in a flash his sword striking hers. The clash rang out through the forest as she spun again seeing Nnoitra standing not far behind. His grin spread across his face.

“You’re such a defiant little bitch. It’s time someone taught you a lesson,” he told her.

Still standing in her stance she glared down the blade of her sword at Nnoitra. “Oh? And I guess you’re the one that is going to teach that lesson to me?”

Nnoitra started to laugh as he raised his hands from his sides, “Who else?! Though, I doubt you will remember a thing since I am going to kill you.”

Nnoitra moved quickly toward her as she ducked down to avoid his attack, quickly rolling she got to her feet turning to face him. Her sword was lifted to block his next attack as he came at her from above. Looking up, she side stepped to get away but was caught by his blade as it slashed down her upper left leg. She growled as the pain shot through her body and jumped farther away from Nnoitra. Still Nnoitra wore his grin as he stared across the clearing at her.

“I thought you had been training? But you are still the same weak ass Kita I fought many times before.”

She did not want to show her release to any of the Espada, but if she were to even stand a slight bit of a chance with Nnoitra, she was going to have to use it or at least die trying. Suddenly she lunged forward and called out.

‘FEROZGARRA!’

As quick as the word was said her sword changed to a different form. A long chain wrapped behind her extending down her left arm, and wrapped firmly around her left hand. In the same hand she spun the end of the chain in which a counter weight was attached. In front of her extended more chain as she held it in her right hand, and at the end of that chain was a Windmill Blade. Quickly it spun as she directed it toward Nnoitra and with the flick of her wrist she called out again,

‘SLASH!’

The chain gave a slight tug and the windmill blade seemed to explode with 100’s of razor sharp happogota’s. Nnoitra not surprised by the attack, bounded to the air. The windmill blade sped past his head and the happogota’s struck the bolder behind him causing it to explode into dust and small particles.

Nnoitra laughed looking down on a new form of Kita. “NICE! I do have to say Kita. I am impressed.” His eyes narrowed as he lunged at her, “but not that impressed!”

Kita moved quickly avoiding Nnoitra’s attack and the two of them battled on, Nnoitra getting a good hit on her with every third attack. After the fifth bad wound in different places on her body, Nnoitra was coming at her again. She moved only to be cut on her left hand; quickly she pulled her weapon back holding the center of the windmill blade in her right hand, the blades slowly spinning to a stop. The end of the chain was still wrapped around her left hand and she spun the counter weight, clockwise. Blood slowly dripped from between the wrapped chain on her hand.

Nnoitra grinned, “If it was a good fight you were looking for you should have come to me instead of the Forest of Menos’.”

“I wasn’t looking to fight anyone. I came to--” she stopped short.

Nnoitra look on at her interested in what she might have said, “You came to what, Kita?”

“If I wanted you to know I would have finished my sentence.”

“Well with a weak ass power like yours you’d be lucky to beat up the hollow lizard you have back at Los Noches!” Nnoitra grinned.

Kita turned to the fifth Espada as he was walking toward her, “OH HA HA! Nnoitra.”

“You’re pathetic!” Nnoitra told her.

“Why are you here?”

“You know why I’m here, Kita.”

“…And you have gotten the same answer every time you have asks! I am nothing to Lord Aizen but another foot shoulder to fight his battle!”

“I don’t believe it!”

“Then you’re a bigger idiot than I believed you to be!”

The fifth Espada sonidoed in front of Kita picking her up by her neck as Kita’s feet dangled beneath her. Slowly he lifted Kita to his eye level.

“You know I am not going to go quietly. I will fight you till the end. Something special or not I will not die by your hands.” Kita told him through clinched throat.

“I am counting on it!” He growled at her, “So don’t disappoint me.”

Kita lifted her windmill blade and swiped at the left side of Nnoitra’s face. The razor sharp blade sliced at his cheek laying open the flesh. He tried squeezing her neck tighter as she thrust a hard kick into his abdomen. Nnoitra stumbled back a step or two causing him to toss here to the ground a few feet from him. Kita coughed and as she went to stand, Nnoitra turned and looked at her. Finally, she was standing before him once more, so slowly Kita lifted her weapon in front of her.

“Let’s get on wi--”

However, before she finished her sentence Nnoitra had disappeared from her sight, and a rather large Menos was screaming in the background. She looked around for Nnoitra. The Menos was the least of her worries. Nnoitra however, was an adversary she could not leave unnoticed or it would mean her death much sooner than later. Kita turned quickly when she felt Nnoitra’s presents appear behind her. Jumping back she was able to avoid the strike he was about to deliver to her skull.

Nnoitra chuckled, “Well one thing is for sure. Your speed has increased greatly, but can you stop this?”

At that Nnoitra darted toward her. Kita released her weapon sending it Nnoitra’s direction. He darted left then right there was a time she was even able to make him take a step or two backward as she only gave a slight turn of the chain. Nnoitra became angered and lashed out at her weapon hoping to knock it to the ground, but with her cat like reflexes she was able to pull it back far enough to keep his and her weapon from colliding.

As their battle raged on, still in the background Kita could hear Menos’ screaming, howling and screeching, but never once did she take her eyes from Nnoitra. Just then, Nnoitra picked up pace in her direction. She jerked the chain on her weapon and started spinning the counter weight on the end of the chain faster and faster, Kita was slowly letting chain slide through her hand making the fan she was creating with the chain bigger. As soon as Kita’s weapon was 10 foot from her, she flicked her wrist and called out again.

‘SLASH’

Just then, 100’s of happogota erupted from the windmill blade. Kita deflect most of them with her chain fan, though a few snuck through. One sliced her forearm, another, shaving pieces of her hair away and one slicking into her left leg above her knee.

Nnoitra deflected as many of the happogota’s as he could with his blade. Though, the ones lucky enough to sneak through were where the flesh was tender on the over hardened skin of his body. When the shower of blades was over Nnoitra looked Kita’s way as she still spun the chain end of her weapon. In her right hand she held the windmill blade. Four perfectly razor sharp blades that could spin on the end of a chain and for a surprise it could release 100’s of the eight pointed happogota shurikens whose blades were just as sharp. There Kita stood behind a fan of chain as it still spun on the other end of her weapon in her left hand.

Nnoitra stood and watched Kita for what felt like minutes upon minutes, Kita never taking her eyes from him. She knew this was not over. She was still alive, however, the one thing she was having trouble with was why Nnoitra was toying with her. He over powered her greatly. Kita knew the only reason why she got in the hits she did was because of luck and Nnoitra was holding back, which was some thing he never did. Kita then, reversed the spin of her chain when all of a sudden Nnoitra lunged at her with his sword drawn. Kita sided stepped missing the attack, but was not lucky enough to evade his counter attack which drove his sword through her right side. Kita dare not flinch nor grab for her side to show weakness as she jumped back standing a good distance from him. She could see him grin as her blood dripped from the end of his sword. Slowly he brought the tip of his blade to his mouth and licked Kita’s blood from the sword’s edge.

“I am going to enjoy kill you,” he told Kita as he came at her again.

Quickly she sheathed her weapon lifting her hand toward Nnoitra releasing a Cero at him. Nnoitra was stopped for a brief second then darted toward Kita once more. Kita moved as quickly as she could with her injuries, however, she was not quick enough as she felt Nnoitra’s hand being forced through her mid section. Kita fell to her hands and knees coughing as blood ran from her mouth. Coughing again Nnoitra kicked Kita in the side sending her body crashing into a large tree. Hitting it hard she felt as if every body in her body broke. Kita slid down the trunk hitting the ground face first. Hearing Nnoitra’s footsteps, he stopped next to her picking her up from the ground by her left arm. Kita hung in front of him with her head lowered. Only one thought ran through her mind,

“Was this really the end? Was Nnoitra truly going to end what life I have now.” Kita lifted her head and looked Nnoitra straight in the eyes. With gritted teeth she told him, “I will see you in hell real soon, little man.”

Kita lifted her right hand clinched in a fist, creating a Cero. Quickly she drew back as her fist glowed purple and swung hitting and releasing the Cero. Nnoitra was hit in the face point blank and full force causing him to drop Kita and fly back a few yards. Kita tried pushing herself from the ground as she saw Nnoitra coming at her again, the left side of his face black and red from the Cero and the cut she gave him earlier. He stepped up to Kita kicking her again in the side. Kita’s body lifted flying toward the forest hitting a tree taking it down as she flipped and turned.

Nnoitra grinned as he watched her disappear into the thick of the forest. He heard a Menos’ scream out as he started to laugh aloud.

“She is good as dead. I am not wasting any more of my time on her ass.” He reached up touching the left side of his face as he slightly cringed. “Stupid bitch! She was definitely growing in power.” As quickly as he appeared he disappeared from the Forest of Menos’.

Kita lay there at the base of the tree that stopped her; she faded in and out of what life she was clinging to. Kita then heard the Menos’ screaming once more. Though, they’re screams were not screams of being on the hunt, but screams of being killed. Finally, Kita could not keep her eyes open any longer. Slowly they closed and the last thing she remember seeing was Uijkiyo over the top of her shaking his head.
