Macau casino sales fall 55.6% in November

The domestic casino industry posted $3 billion (358.5 million euros) in gaming revenue in November, down 55.6% from a year earlier, according to the latest figures from the Macau Game Inspection Coordination Bureau (DICJ).

November's earnings figures are also down 23.1% from the previous month, when the game gross (GGR) was $3.9 billion (432.2 million euros). The report also noted that November's GGR was 86.9% lower than November 2019's $22.88 billion (2.5 billion euros) before the pandemic.

The revenue decline came despite efforts to boost the tourism and gaming industry through the resumption of eVisa applications for tourists looking to visit island areas. The initiative, which would allow visitors from mainland China to apply for visas online, resumed in early November. 동행복권파워볼

The reintroduction of eVisas had little impact on tourism trade in the short term, according to DICJ analysts. This was largely due to China's COVID-19 cases and the government's strict zero-COVID policy.

The most recent figure was $38.7 billion (4.6 billion euros), down 50.9% from the same period in 2021.
