I was bored, so I came up with a game for your OC. Try to explain scientifically how your characters power works. It doesn't need to be real science either. You can just use T.V. science, that sounds like it's true. You can do it for either your squad or stern member. (Or both.) Put it in the comments if you do. I'll put mine below for example.
As most chemical reactions require kinetic energy to occur, so does Charles skin. When impacted with enough force, his skin will receive enough kinetic energy to have a reaction occur to fuse the skin near the impact into a solid mass. This hardened mass will return to a normal skin state by reacting with oxygen. His bones have been reconstructed at the molecular level. The new bones can serve the same purpose of a usual bone, but are based around carbon spheres, which is a much more durable formation. These make them the equivalents of diamonds in toughness. Charles muscles have been modified only slightly, basically replacing them with that of a body builder. His real strength comes from a modification to his brain. The body restricts your strength greatly to avoid damaging itself, and unneeded calorie burning. With Charles improvements making him near indestructible, this part of the brain was unneeded, and written over, thus granting him great strength.
