There aren't many games that can offer the sensation of pure speed but After Burner Climax is one that does.
First released as an arcade machine in 2006 then being ported to X-Box 360 and PS3 in 2010, After Burner Climax is everything you've seen in Top Gun ramped up to 11. An insanely fast jet fighter game that takes you on an adrenaline fuelled battle in the Wild Blue Yonder.
At time of writing only the mobile version is still active.
Pros
Stupidly fast gameplay is just so fun
Decent length for an Arcade title
Once you complete and unlock all the extras you can ramp up some modifiers to see how far you can push the speed.
Cons
After a few games it becomes impossible to lose.
Constant radio chatter.
So much going on that it's easy to miss objectives and routes.
Verdict
Considering what Climax means in slang it feels oddly appropriate to call it a Climax as this game envokes that feeling.
