Detective Novel Chapter 3

Chapter 3: The Trick

“thanks for that James” laughed Kalea “it was just to make sure but now we can be sure that this Mink character is our killer” Kalea had set up a trap for Mink, she had manipulated one of Minks victims into thinking her son James was at boarding school and was coming home that day when in reality this woman had 2 grown up kids who didn’t live at home Kalea had also made Mink believe that James had to be killed as well when James came into the house he knew the Pizie would attack him and would probably be in some different form so he had made Kalea make him taller and stronger looking because this would force the Pizie to show her real form and be taller and stronger to fight him, when you shape-shift you become weaker and this Mink would be fine with showing herself because she wouldn’t expect anyone to live whose seen her real form “its simple” said James slightly cockily “vampires always win against anything even the werewolves” he grinned “Pizies are no problem they aren’t even fast, wait your sure you didn’t want me to kill her right?” Kalea sighed
“for the fifth time already, no, we need her alive”
“aw you know all you have to do is ask” he grinned
“your sick, get out” she said shooing him towards Satu's door “if your going to make sick jokes like that then get out” she put her hands on her hips and frowned at him “don’t worry I'm going, that frown is enough to scare even me off” he grinned and walked out the door
“have you ever thought he might be the one killing your friends? He seems pretty ready to kill and he isn’t dead like the rest of them” she looked at him for a second “no, as much as James dislikes me he wouldn’t do that, we used to be friends once, long ago, before he changed” she sighed sadly “no, James is a pretty blood thirsty person no pun intended but I don’t think he would go that far I cant see him doing it” she looked away to her right she did this when she was embarrassed or uncomfortable he saw her big scar it was white like her skin but stuck out slightly it was a like that followed the bottom lid of her left eye and then ran down her jaw line to her chin “I forgot to ask, how did you get that scar on your cheek?” he asked curiously
