BANG! BANG! BANG!
Chero froze and looked toward the door that had kept them safe for so long. She tried to swallow, but her throat went dry. Did the monster finally find them? Was this safe house no longer safe? What were they going to do?
BANG BANG BANG
Dante stepped forward.
“Dante! Be careful!” Danni called.
Dante nodded and approached the door, pulling out one of his guns.
BANGBANGBANGBANGBANGBANGBANG
Dante swung open the door, his gun ready.
Standing there was Mei with her hand held up, ready to knock again.
“Finally!” she cried.
“Who-?” he questioned.
“Dude! Questions later!” America, Alfred F. Jones, called from behind her.
In his arms he carried an injured Italy, Feliciano Vargas, who was pale, breathing heavily and unconscious. He had some serious wounds on his chest.
“Come in, quickly!” Dante commanded, “Danni! Get bandages.”
Danni nodded and quickly went to get bandages while Dante helped Alfred carry Feliciano inside. Mei shut the door behind them and followed the two men to a bed where they placed Feliciano.
Chero’s eyes went wide as she watched Alfred and Dante carry the wounded Italian. She did not think. She did not blink. She did not breathe.
“Feliciano!” she cried, rushing to his side.
Danni joined a moment later with bandages.
Something triggered inside of France when he saw Italy. His chest hurt and his brain was throbbing. Images flashed before his eyes causing him to crumple to the ground.
“Francis!” Jenny cried.
Francis tried to get back up, but collapsed on the ground unconscious.
“Dino, help me carry him to a bed. I’ll examine him.” Leonides said, as he started to pick Francis up on one side, Dino taking the other.
