To start this review I want to say this first. What happens when you combine something as popular as Disney with very well known RPG Final Fantasy and plus to that add the hybrid combinations? Yup, you get a mixture which almost sounds impossible to exist. But let me tell you, it actually does and it is also pretty good…

The story takes part in the world of light and darkness where, guess what, resist worlds of many many Disney characters, and even some from Final Fantasy. The story in general actually is quite complex. If you haven’t played the first one, at the beginning it may look confused, but later you actually see how it is all going. You start the game with Roxas, a boy living in Twilight town alongside his close friends. It all goes normally like with every group of friends, they have their hideout, people who don’t like them (other groups), school, places they hang out and such. Though after some while it becomes more and more different, as Roxas starts having weird dreams. It later goes on and Roxas finally beings to understand his existence. But the story then continues with Sora (the main character from the first game). He along side his best mates, Goofy and Donald start on a adventure to defeat Organization XIII which is a treat to all of the worlds.

As Sora goes through his adventure, he soon will find many allies and partners, including characters such as Jack Sparrow, the Lion king, the Beast, Tron, Aladin and many others. Now there is the fun part, the gameplay is actually in the style of the action RPG games, where you will fight enemies in real time, using not only attack and magic combinations, but also drivers (which let you transform into different forms) and limits (which do a special move costing all your magic). The game is quite fun and the choices of giving characters all kind of techniques, equipment, makes it give you a lot combinations to choose from. Even if it looks that it would, this game hardly gets repetitive.

The soundtrack of this game is… I will be honest, it is fun to listen and to play the game through with it, but overall it is average, and sometimes it sounds like one tune is just played over and over again. What makes for that is that this game has a quite lot of tracks to choose from, so you can always relax your mind with a new one that comes in place.
The graphics on the other hand almost don’t even have a flaw. For the game that came out in middle era of PS2, they look absolutely fantastic. From the cutscenes, to all those magical words, surroundings and characters. And to complete all that with that this game actually has some pretty good voice acting. Sometimes, you just can’t resist that goofy voice of, well Goofy.

Overall this game is a classic and one of the must play games for PS2. Who has this system and especially this game with it, definitely don’t miss out the chance to play and finish this game. Because of games like this is something worth playing and something quite different that other games. It is a fable that you must see…

Graphics: 9/10 – sometimes it looks too soft. Other than that, absolutely gorgeous
OST and effects: 9/10 – A large selection of tracks with some amazing voice acting
Gameplay: 9/10 – after some while it can get a little bit repetitive, but there is always something new that keeps you away from that
Story and presentation: 10/10 – Something just unbelievable. The strongest aspect that just keeps on you playing.
Overall: 10/10 – For the sake of this game and the fans, I just can’t give the lower mark for it. A game that will be always remembered.
