Chapter Forty-Seven: Now it's time to relax

-Jason-

We walked back up to her dorm. It wasn’t that bad of a campus from what I could tell. It was big and there were a lot of people. I was a bit nervous as we walked back and I think that Elijah could tell because she took my hand and weaved her fingers through mine. I looked over at her and she was smiling at me reassuring me that everything was fine.

“I’m sorry. I’m just nervous is all.” I said looking down at the ground as we kept walking.

“You don’t have to be nervous.” She said and I looked back over at her. “I’m here and I know where I’m going so we won’t get lost.”

“It’s just being around a lot of people is what I’m worried about.” I stated.

“Did you bring your contacts?” she asked.

“Well yea…they just irritate my eyes is all.” I answered looking over at her.

“You don’t have to wear them all day. I can help you put them in before I have to go to the locker rooms tomorrow if you would like.” She offered.

“I’ll be alright. I can take them down with me and I’ll just put them in when I get back down to the gym tomorrow.” I smiled at her.

“We’re here.” I looked up at the building that we were walking up to. It was three stories and there were a lot of windows. How it was a brick building started to make my heart race. I just had to keep reminding myself to calm down and that we were on a campus. It would be fine when we got inside.

I let go of Elijah’s hand so that she could get her keys out and open the door and we walked in. There were still white walls but there were pictures on the walls and teen around our age sitting on the couches watching TV. I knew that I would be fine. It was just difficult to completely get away from that place.

We walked to the end of the hall and went into a stairwell and went up to the second floor. Her room was close to the stairwells and was a corner room, which was nice not too far of a walk for her after getting done with practice. She unlocked the door to her and her roommate’s room and we went in. It was a nice room and they did well with making it feel like a little piece of home from what they had brought with them.

“It’s nice.” I smiled down at her.

“You can put your bags over here.” Elijah motioned to the end of her bed and then sat down on her bed.

I nodded and shut the door behind me then walked over to her bed and set my bags down at the end of the bed. “Do you miss home?” I asked sitting down next to here.

She nodded and leaned against me. “I’m glad you’re here though.” I saw her smiled.

“So am I.” I smiled and wrapped my arms around her. “It’s so nice to be able to wrap my arms around you again.” I muttered taking a deep breath and resting my head on top of hers.

“Same here. I’ll be home for Christmas vacation soon.” She said adjusting herself so that she could wrap her arms around my waist.

“Did you want to put in a movie and lay down?” I offered.

“Sure what movie do you want to watch?” She asked.

“Something that we’ve seen before just so we have background noise. I don’t know about you, but I’m going to be a little distracted because I haven’t seen a certain someone in a few months.” I smiled at her.

“I’ll find something.” She winked at me and started going through her DVD’s to put something in.
