The black cherry blossom leaves fall to the ground

As the once blossoming tree within me loses it's brown

A grey husk cracked to the core,no matter how hard I try to endure

My life will never return to how it was before

Feigning smiles in the face of danger.

"Let's see what life has for me in store"

The cycle never breaks,A cycle forged by my own mistakes

A fair chance I was never given

But a sheer glance is all I beckon

A glance on the other side of my Miserable prison

The life I never had,The friends I never gained

My innocent heart shall forever be stained

This life has taken it's toll,Rendering my every dream and hope Null

Everything new I try feels Dull

The scars of the past,Engraved into my very skull

Nothing feels worth the effort,I feel like I'm planting roses in a desert

It feels like it's been ages,The world around me darkens as I keep turning the pages

It's all the same,It's all in vain,All my struggles and all my pain.

What am I possibly hoping to gain?

There are no flowers left alive when it starts to rain

Are you somewhere out there or are you not?

How long do I have to wait here and rot?

Clinging to hope tied by a simple knot

It's only a matter of time before I fall

I don't know for how much longer I can stall

I have no hero of my own that I can call

This the beginning of the end

This is where time stops to bend.

Let's talk a bit about background shall we?

If you read this while listening to certain piano music and actually trying to imagine the word in your head,It's quite the experience (according to a certain individual).

The first line tells about black cherry blossom leaves,of course the cherry blossom trees are a kind and rich sight to the eye,My favorite tree actually,So here we compare the heart of the individual in the story to a cherry blossom tree that lost it's color and began to wither away.

The character also speaks of struggles and scars of the past,It's sad how these things are so common these days,The character talks also of a great sadness, not being able to achieve their dreams,And anything new tried, any hobbies, any jobs, any new activity, feels dull and unworthy of his/her time.

To the line of,"there are no flowers left when it starts to rain",the character's take here,is even if good fortune would reach him/her,it would already be too late to achieve that certain goal,And he/her are left with nothing but the words "only if" Causing even more agony than would have resulted, had "late salvation" had not arrived at all.

For a line or three the character pleads to "someone" out there,"are you there or are you not?" that someone being the person who can save the character from his/her current situation, even if mentally at least, and is mentioned as If this person was his/her soul mate.

And finally following the last lines,

"It's only a matter of time before I fall"

"I don't know for how much longer I can stall"

The character here talks about his/her mental instability as he/she would likely commit an act that would lead to his/her death.

"this is where time stops to bend" Notice we said "where" instead of "when" simply meaning that the character's current situation and current location Are destined to be the place of his/her end.
