To the Berries

Kust writting for Adam and Ivan

Adam-

I watched as Pais and Yuki walked off in the way of the mountains. I sighed and looked over at Ivan. This guy wasn't any threat to me but he was determined to prove himself. Even with that determination the girls still didn't trust him. They trusted him as much as they trust me.

"Okay Ivan, seems we are in charge of getting the ice berries. They will be in the forest." I started walking with him following after me. We walked for a good bit till we hit the start of a forest. The whole time we walked it was silent. I'm sure Ivan felt uncomfortable with the silence but I liked the silence. And because of that I jumped slightly when Ivan finally said something when we finally got into the beginning of the thick forest.

"Are these them?" I heard Ivan say as he stopped at a berry bush just inside the forest.

"No." I said turning around not even looking at the berries. " The Ice Berries are deeper into the forest where the sun can't melt them. It can be about a days walk to get to them. You'll know them when you see them." I started walking and heard him start after me again and the silence continues between us except for the voices of the snow and the forest.

I wondered how Yuki and Pais was doing with getting the snow. I knew that only Yuki could get up that high to get it. It was a good thing I found her.

"Are these the berries?" I sighed annoyed. He wasn't going to say this everytime he saw a new berry was he. I stopped and turned to the bush he was standing in front of and frowned.

"Um yeah those are them." I said confused. I looked around and noticed we were pretty far in the forest but we only walked for a couple of hours. " I expected them to be farther in."

"Well the trees are pretty thick here. " I nodded and opened my inventory, pulling out a jar.

" pick a good bit. We need to make four potions with these and we should probably make extra just in case."

We started picking the berries. They were cold to the touch and after picking a good bit my fingers where numb. After filling two jars worth of berries I put them back in my inventory and pulled out a pair of gloves. Putting them I noticed Ivan breathing on his hands to try to warm them. Pulling out another pair I handed them to Ivan.

" It may just be a game but frozen fingers still aren't fun." I started walking again before he had a chance to answer. Weather the girls already had the snow or not, I headed to the mountain, hoping to meet up with the along the way.
