Why Does This Game Have to Have Snow?

-Zack-

That seems really harsh. Of course there are people who think that this is just a game and that it’s no harm done…maybe that’s how this Venomous what’s a ma gigger group is like. “Well we’ll just have to keep on our toes then as we go through the area’s.” I sighed as I slipped my bow and quiver off.

“Yes we will.” Sig replied with a nod.

It was a bit strange having to share a room with someone that I just met not too long ago. But when I actually think of it we’ve probably run into each other’s views countless times but we just never acknowledged each other.

“You can take the bed and I’ll take the couch.” I told sig standing up to take off my belt that was holding my dual short swords.

“You sure. I did push you into the snow earlier.” He raised and eye brow at me.

I smiled and grabbed my stuff walking over to the couch and placed it down next to the couch. “I’m sure. I’m smaller than you anyways so I’ll fit better.” I smiled and plopped down on the couch. “Besides you just pushed me in the snow to get me out of the way of that attack.”

“Alright then.” He sighed and took off the rest of his chain armor. So he was down to his lightweight t-shirt that was like an old shirt that you would see in the medieval times and black pants. “Since I pushed you in the snow you go take a shower first.”

“I won’t take long then. This part of area two is always rough with this snow. I don’t have enough fur on my to keep me warm for long periods of time.” I chuckled.

“You sure you have long enough hair.” Sig snickered and I couldn’t help but snicker back at him as I pulled my hair tie out of my hair and started unbraiding it.

“I’ll be back.” I said and went into the bathroom and took a quick shower.

The hot water was nice and warmed my body up nicely. I didn’t realize how cold I was from trudging through the snow. I didn’t want to waste the hot water because I couldn’t remember if it ran cold in this part of area two or not so I got out and switched into my long loose pants and a long sleeve shirt before walking out with my towel on my head.

I looked out the window and the snow had started falling harder than earlier. “Do you think it’s going to storm tonight?” I asked Sig as I looked over to where it was still sitting at the table.

“It may ya never know.” He answered and closed his inventory before standing up.

I sat down on the couch and continued drying my hair as he walked back me and went into the bathroom. I lay down on the couch and opened my inventory and made some flares with my extra materials before closing it up and closing my eyes to relax a bit. We had a few things to collect in this area. The first thing was snow berries, then Ice from the tallest trees, and then it’s onto area three.

I remember hearing the bathroom door open but my eyelids felt to heavy to open back up I was more tired then I thought I would be. I felt asleep soon after.

I woke up to Sig shaking me and I fell off the couch with a thud. “What time is it?” I groaned not wanting to get up from my spot on the floor.

“It’s four in the morning time to get moving.” Sig said and I heard him walk away from me.

“But why do we have to get going so early.” I whined getting up into a sitting position on the floor and stretching.

“If we don’t move now the Ice that we need will melt from the sun rise before we can even get to them.” Sig answered as I head his chain armor jingle as he put it on.

I sighed and stood up. “Okay dad, I’m getting up.” I muttered to myself as I opened up my inventory and put on my armor over my shin guards and arm guards over my long clothing so I was better suited for the cold weather.

I put my belt on then my quiver and bow. I braided my hair as we walked down the hall and down the stairs to the lobby. “Thank you for staying with us. Please come again.” The girl smiled happily at us.

“Have a good day.” I smiled back at her with a slight wave before Sig and I ventured out into the cold.

Just like in the real world the coldest part of the day was before sunrise. Even wearing a long sleeved shirt under my armor it was still cold. “God damn it’s cold.” I said out of pure reaction.

“Na this is nothing, now come on.” Sig snickered at my comment and motioned for me to follow him as he made a trail in the new three inches of snow that had fallen over night.

The save spot wasn’t too far away from the forest of tall trees. I know great name for a forest, very original. I knew from the get go I was going to be doing the climbing. I’m lighter and I do it all the time. There were patches of pines in these woods so we could walk at a faster pace and brush off the snow.

“The berries should be around the center of the forest where we have to get the ice. So if you can find the berries as I climb to get the ice we should be set for this area other then facing whatever monsters come out to try and get us.” I stated breaking the silence between the two of us that felt like was going on forever. We were at the base of the largest tree in the forest anyways, which was ironically in the center of the forest but who’s keeping track really.

“Sounds like a good plan to me.” Sig nodded in agreement.

“Alright, then I’ll see you in a bit.” I saluted to him and then jumped up to the lowest branch and clung onto its snow-covered branch. It took me a good ten minuets to get to the top that’s including the multiple times I stopped to warm up my hands. This cat was not built for this cold of weather. I prey that the other areas in the game aren’t as cold as this one.

“Finally.” I mumbled to myself as I got to the top and spotted the ice. The sun was starting to rise so I had to move as quick as I could before they melted.

I grabbed five of them and got them into my inventory. I just got my hands around the last piece of ice we needed and my foot slipped out from under me and I went falling through the tree branches hurdling towards the ground way down below. I some how hit move to inventory for the ice piece and tried my best to slow myself down with the branches, most of them breaking from my speed. I could tell that I was slowing down a little bit but this fall was really going to hurt.

“Look out below!” I shouted not knowing where Sig as the ground quickly approached me.

I hit the ground feet first and went into a tumble roll, multiple ones in fact. I heard something snap. When I finally came to a stop I looked behind me to see my arrows everywhere and my hunters bow snapped in half. “Awe man I just maxed out that bows stats too.” I pouted a little.

“Zack, are you okay?” Sig asked me as I heard him run through the snow.

“I will be in a few.” I groaned a little as I opened my inventory and pulled out a potion and chugged it down. “I got all that we needed at least before I fell.” I stated looking up at my tall companion. “I snapped my hunter bow in half though. I just maxed it out too.” I pouted and my ears drooped.

“It’s just a bow, we can get it fixed.” Sig tried to comfort me.

“I mean I got a new bow recently and it’s been sitting in my inventory because I wanted to max that one out first but all that hard work and it snaps in half.” I whined.

Sig started to pick up my arrows for me as the potion started to kick in and I was still sore but could at least get up. “This just means you’ll have to use that new one then.” Sig answered.

I helped pick up the remaining arrows and we got them back into my sheath before I went and picked up my now broken hunters bow with a sigh. “I guess your right and I can always get this repaired later.” I opened my inventory back up and place my now broken bow in my inventory and brought out my Turkish crab bow.
