Trying to help

.:Doll:.

I took off running with the others, but I was a bit behind, not being use to my limbs bending as far as they did no effortlessly. Not to mention the weight of all the wood, and my skirt trailing behind me. When the dog, Train, got hit behind me, I turned my head totally around, slowing my run. I saw Janus take the gush of water. "SOMEONE HELP ME!" he yelled. That made me stop entirely. We were all a team, right? Then we should all help each other.

My body turned to match my head, and I ran back to help. The third head faced me, and threateningly blasted a firey torch. The sight made me hesitate. Wood... and fire... Not a good combination. However, the body seemed occupied, and the stream couldn't actually reach very far. Conquering my fear, I ran around the blast zone, and came back, in front of the front face that had attacked the dog. The poor thing was recovering slowly. The head saw me and let out a gush of wind. It blew my hair and skirt, but I tug in my wooden toes, and held fast, arms protecting my face. The attack seemed to last forever, but was really no more than five seconds. Incidentally, I actually shielded poor Train, completely unintentionally.

In the pause, I pushed on, managing to reach Janus, still being pelted with water. When the head paused, I crouched down next to the boy. The sound of a clock was audible even with the noises from the creature.

"Here, tag me. I may be able to get rid of that bomb for you," I told him calmly. There was a hesitation, but just as the head began to spurt more power-hose strength water, he reached out and touched my hand. The clock quickly reappeared on the back of my hand.

I had to act fast. There wasn't time to mess around. Of course, worse case scenario I just detach my hand and throw it, but I might need that later. When the creature realized I had the bomb, it's immidiate attention moved from Janus to me. Everything came to me in a second of panic. I pulled the large sewing needle from my hair, and threaded it into the string on my wrist, tying a tight not. The creature was awkwardly trying to turn its body so that the head that spewed fire could reach me. Before it could fully rotate, I was throwing the needle.

My aim was horrible.

The needle stuck to the tree behind the creature, and when I tried to real it back, it wouldn't budge. The creatures fire breathing head now looked directly at me, smoke slipping from its mouth with a hissing noise. The fire erupted, and I was forced to dodge left. The head turned with me, a bit slower. It didn't seem to care about the string digging into it's torso, but the other two heads were quite upset. There was Plan B. While I continued to dodge left, I let the string pull taunt. Then leaning back on it, I circled the tree. Once, twice, three times. The creature realized too late what I was doing.

When it was sufficiently tied, I cut the string with my teeth. Odd, I hadn't realized how long it was before. Never mind that, I still had a bomb on my hand.

Ducking under the heads of the strugling monster, I tapped it's torso, and the clocked disappeared from my hand, reappearing it's chest.

I backed away carefully, returning to a soaking wet Janus. "That deals with that. If we're on a team, we should help each other out, no?" I asked as if what I had done was a bad thing. My head tilted inquisitively with habbit as I blinked at the boy.
