Hetalia: Axis Powers ep12
Gay France is creepy. Like, surprise buttsecks kind of creepy.

Hatsukoi Limited ep2
I can already tell it's going to take some effort to keep track of who likes who in this series. There are now four one-sided crushes and we've only been properly introduced to a fraction of the cast. And then there's the perverted guy who's desparate to get some from whoever he can – he hardly counts but he does provide plenty of laughs. The laughs and ecchi continued in the same proportions from ep1; thankfully the series relies much more on its comedy than its fan service. I doubt it will rival the masterpiece that was Toradora! last season but I think it'll still satisfy my romantic comedy craving well enough.

07-Ghost ep2
OMG Noto Mamiko, Kawasumi Ayako, and Nazuka Kaori voice three pretty church sisters in this. Moe overload, and Saito Chiwa's character hasn't even shown up yet. Anyway, I figured this from ep1's flashback but it looks like Teito grew up in a church before his father was killed. And here begins the grand search for the truth about his past. I just hope the sisters show up regularly to balance out all the bishis.

Minami-ke: Okaeri ep11
Poor Keiko got the shaft some more in this episode. With Kana and Riko around, she's always between a rock and a hard place. The bit where the shower head fell on her was one of those moments where you feel sorry for a character but can't help but think it was kind of cute. But I guess it was better than getting burnt in a chili bath.

Shugo Chara!! Doki ep79
As Ran put it, Amu and Tadase finally got back to happy time. I've never liked Tadase much, but at least he's less annoying when he's not being emo. Thank God for Kuukai always being around to talk some sense into him. Also, lolz at Kuukai's brothers – I can relate to his struggles as the youngest of a bunch of brothers.

Ikuto's Death Rebel character transformation is freakin' badass. I think I mentioned that before but it warrants repeating. I can't wait to see the battle next episode with Ikuto vs. Amu and Tadase.

A point of interest about Ikuto is that I was rather indifferent about him early in the series but he's since grown to become my favorite character (other than Kiran, of course). The more he's interacted with Amu, the more interesting he's become.

Finally, d'awww at Yoru and Amu. I can't help but hope we'll someday see a character transformation with those two, and with the big battle coming up this seems as likely a time as ever. Catgirl Amu plz plz plz.

Minami-ke: Okaeri ep12-13
I finally finished this and, looking back on it, I don't think it quite measured up to the first two seasons. (Especially the animation, bur that's not overly important for this type of anime.) Actually, it seems like the series has gotten a little worse with each season. The first one kept me chuckling pretty much all the time, punctuated with moments of uproarious laughter, and had a lot of great running gags. And that's slowly shifted to keeping me smiling, punctuated with moments of chuckling and more rare moments of outright laughter. Okaeri was still good, of course, but it's a bit disappointing to see the quality slipping.

Perhaps I will have to look into reading the manga.

These last two episodes were both quite good even compared to the first two seasons, though I may be biased since they focused on Chiaki (and Kana) a lot. I never get tired of Chiaki's cute and hilarious balance between being sarcastic and childish. The whole time I was alternating between going, "D'awww," and laughing. I love how Chiaki and Kana argue and fight all the time but, like a real family, we also get to see the sweet little moments that show they're actually very close. And then there are the moments that combine both sides, which are all kinds of awesome.

Valkyria Chronicles ep2
Oh holy crap, I hope this series is mastered at full HD because I want to see it in 1080p when it's released on Blu-ray. This is just amazing; I've not seen art as great as Valkyria Chronicle's in any broadcast anime before.

When I wasn't drooling over the visuals during this episode I was taking a liking to the characters. I love how Welkin's totally blunt and deadpan when speaking, except for maybe a hint of sarcasm. Isara is cute and gets major awesome points for being able to drive a tank. I'm not quite sure what to think of Alicia yet, but she and her twintails are beautiful. Poor little Susie, though. I can't believe she actually joined the army together with Alicia after all the fright (and fainting) she experienced in the Bruhl militia. The main cast is interesting so far and I'm looking forward to seeing more in the next episode.

Eden of the East ep2
So Juiz makes things happen – for a price. And apparently killing three guys costs ¥1,499,346 (about USD $15,322 according to Google). Good to know.

There were lots of questions raised in this episode but not many answers. I suppose now they'll start trickling out information about who Akira is and what this Selecao organization does. But the interaction between Akira and Saki was still cute and funny.

Pani Poni Dash! OAV
This OAV made me realize just how much I've missed PPD. I really need to rewatch the TV series some time. Becky is way too adorable.

It took a bit to remember all the characters (there are certainly enough of them) but it was a hilarious little stroll through my memories of the series. The OAV was basically just like another episode, only a bit longer, and filled with the same kinds of craziness and absurd hijinks. It was also filled with quite a lot of funny little references to other stuff (mostly other SHAFT anime). Which makes me want to rewatch the TV series even more, since I barely knew any of the references in it due to having seen much less anime at the time.

The typesetting that gg did for the OP lyrics is totally sweet, by the way. I think that style works even better for PPD than it did for Maria Holic.

Slayers Evolution-R ep13
Epic ending was epic. I only have one screen from this episode uploaded, but anyone who's seen the first Slayers series will know what I'm talking about when I say, "Lina with white hair."

The whole episode was one giant mass of awesome that about matched the Slayers Next ending. My favorite moment, though, was just as the fight with Shabranigdo began and Give a Reason (the Slayers Next OP) began playing in the background. I cheered at that. It's such an awesome song and fit so perfectly there. Lina and Pokota rapid firing Dragon Slaves to suck power out of Shabranigdo was incredibly cool, and Amelia hitting one of its dragon head tentacle things head on with a Visfarank punch had to be her crowning moment of the entire anime. But, of course, it all came down to the Giga Slave. And Lina successfully cast it. A complete Giga Slave, world-ending power of the Lord of Nightmares and all, and she pulled it off. It does not get any more badass than that.

Chi's New Address ep9-16
This show always makes me want to get a cat. Watching the skittish little Chi get acquainted with her new home was amusing. Other than President Aria, I've not seen such great looks of OMGWTF on a cat's face. The best part of these episodes, though, was the introduction of all the neighbors' pets. Not much to say about Lucky yet since it didn't do anything. Mii's blank, unresponsive stare in the face of Chi screaming to try and get a response made me laugh way too much. Alice looks like she'll be an amusing counterpart for Chi, similar to the black cat in the first series. David is a super cute little dog and I totally loved all the interaction between him and Chi. Chi's look of total shock and horror at being licked was hilarious, as well as Chi taunting him after he was told to lie down. Hopefully they put the other animals to good use in the show's little stories (I hesitate to call it a plot) because I want to see more of them.

Hetalia: Axis Powers ep13
Jiiiii~

Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood ep3
Rose is pretty but kind of dumb. And is it just me or are they throwing more humor into this than the original series? I laughed at Ed and Al rampaging through the halls of the church but it was a bit jarring coming directly after the OMGSRS face off with Cornello. Ed and Al kicking ass was awesome either way, though. My favorite moment of the episode was definitely the ALPHONSE PUNCH.

Ichigo Mashimaro ep9-10 (Anime Club)
I love Matsuri's ferret, John. He's the perfect pet for her. We also got to see more of Satake, Chika's dog, in these episodes. And lolz at the goldfish from the festival getting named Richard and James. I'm not sure why, but the little scene where Matsuri and Ana were questioning which was which was really funny.

Kanon ep9-10 (Anime Club)
Though it doesn't come close to Clannad ~After Story~, these two episodes are still sad. Watching Makoto slowly lose her human functions is really heartbreaking.
