More of my story

Soji walked slowly down the corridor of the killer Xero’s base. It had unbelievably easy to get in. They did not even check what she had on her. The Death Note sat concealed within an auburn bag on her right shoulder. Near had provided the area of the base, and the rest was very simple. The base was in the middle of Tokyo itself in a building once owned by the mysterious company called Youtsuba. Soji had walked up to the front gate, told the two main guards that she planned to interrogate Xero, beat the living day lights out of them until they were both unconscious, traded a uniform with the unconscious female guard, hid the dead weight behind some large delivery boxes, and walked inside.
The id that she had swiped stated that her name was Melinda Williams, but the picture looked nothing like Soji, so she had to be careful never to let them see it.
“You there!” a voice barked.
He sounds like a hired dog, maybe a Doberman that hurt his leg in action and was forced into this predicament of low pay security. There are a lot of dogs nowadays. Why didn’t Kira think to eradicate them? No, killing is bad. Near stopped Kira from killing because Kira is not justice. Why am I thinking like this? Soji shook her head to clear it. A man was walking up to her now with his hands on his hips in the position of a mother who caught her child with his hand in the cookie jar. This man had had too many of those sneaked cookies when he was little and had retained a decent weight of over five hundred pounds.
“Sir?” Soji asked as though she were a soldier in the military.
“I didn’t think we had the military type around here,” the man started, “Who are you?”
“Melinda Williams sir,” Soji answered.
“Ah yes I remember that face, why are you not at your post?”
This idiot! He thinks he has seen me before. Kira….No what is wrong with me? I keep going back to that. Isica, is this your doing?
“Xero asked me to go to his office,” Soji answered, “It is about you sir.”
“Me? What do you mean me?”
“Oh you weren’t supposed to hear that! Sir I must be going” Soji said convincingly and began to walk down an empty corridor. In shock the man began to follow her. Idiot. Soji laughed. As she rounded another secluded corner, the man picked up his step and caught up with her.
“Now hold it there!” the man said, “I want to know what you know about this!”
“Kiya!” Soji said as she kicked the man square in the forehead. He fell to the ground and was out cold. Crud another body to deal with. Soji sighed and began making plans for her next steps. Near’s information stated that Ryuza’s….no Xero’s private room was on the second to top floor, and the elevator was waiting in the next corridor. Everything was going according to plan.
Soji hid the unconscious man in the crook of a corner and hopped he wouldn’t be discovered before she had a chance to escape. It was all up to chance, but that was the line of work and needed to be done. As she proceeded towards the elevator, thoughts of Ryuza went through her mind. It was all some sort of sick joke. When everyone left the Wammy Hose, Ryuza had stayed behind to complete his schooling. He and most of the other students became highly skilled people and worked for the benefit of the world.
I chose to leave Ryuza and the Wammy Hose after Near, Mello, and Matt. I guess I thought I would always return when the Kira case was laid to rest, but then I became the head of the C.I.A. and then Isica gave me the Note. Speaking of which, where is Isica?
Soji looked this way and that, but the shinigami had seemed to have disappeared. The elevator had no music, and the squeaks as it was driven up, unnerved Soji to the extent that she could barely move. Ryuza if you really became this way, I may have to….no, I will let Near deal with it. I am only here to confirm information that is all. But if it really is Ryuza, how will he react to seeing me?
The elevator stopped, and Soji preceded forward. The hall held no doors except for the one at the very end. Soji walked quietly down the hall and pushed the door open quietly. It was dark in the room, but the echoes of voices sprang into Soji’s ears. Sticking to areas covered in shadows, Soji walked towards the sounds.
“So Xero, it seems like that L character is going after you for all the people we dealt with. Can’t believe that shinigami exist though. Kira would be proud if he wasn’t dead,” a weasel-like voice talked.
Shinigami? Does that mean that Xero has a Death Note? Come to think of it, Near never told me anything about the killings. Could they have been heart attacks? I have never heard of Xero until Near told me about him. Could Near be holding the strings of the press so that people wouldn’t break into a panic about Kira. It is true that some of the world has returned to normal, but still some believe Kira is still out there. Near, you would cover this all up to keep people from panicking. Xero has a Death Note….but he doesn’t have shinigami eyes or Near’s people would have been killed on sight. No….he could have shinigami eyes right now. Isica where are you?
“L….No the real L is dead this is either Near or Soji….no it is definitely Near. And I will finish what Kira had tried to accomplish. I understand his means and what he was trying to accomplish and I will do it. Isn’t that right, Ryuza?” another voice asked coldly.
Ryuza? That was definitely Xero, but does that mean that he has Ryuza? Near was wrong! Ha! Ryuza isn’t evil!
“Xavier! Near will figure out that it is you, and he will stop you!” Ryuza voiced. The sound of his voice nearly brought Soji to tears.
Xavier, that is his name. That is Xero’s real name. My Death Note…
Will Soji kill this Xavier now that she knows that he is not Ryuza? You’ll have to wait for the next chapter of Soji’s Note that will probably come out tomorrow or the next day. Later people!
