News: DC To Reach a Detective Comics Milestone in April 2013

According to BleedingCool, Detective Comics (Vol. 2) No. 19, which is scheduled for release on April 3, will actually be a 900th issue milestone. Note that 881 issues (not counting issue 0 and the Detective Comics No. 1 Milion one-shot) of the first series volume of Detective Comics added to the first 19 issues of the same comic title' series volume 2 (not counting issue 0) equals 900 issues out of both series volumes. However, it's unlikely that this Batman title will revert back to series 1 issue numbering since the current series volume was intended by DC's editorial staff to be part of a reboot back in 2011. DCComics.com indicates that this issuue will feature 80 pages to celebate the milestone as opposed to the usual 32 page count. While the story description doesn't say much, here's hoping that it's part of a storyarc because I remember how annoyed I was when I found out that The Amazing Spider-Man (Vol. 1) No. 692 contained part 1 of a storyline instead of the whole storyline itself after reading it despite its lengthy page count because Marvel.com did not mention about the storyarcing plan in advance, but then again, it's up to the writers to decide the story lengths. Nevertheless, I look forward to this issue, and I'll make sure to add this as a must-read in the upcoming "DC and Marvel: Must-Reads of April 2013" post.
