According to Mark Millar (the writer of the Marvel Comics-published comic book series "Kick-Ass"), a sequel to the 2008 film "Kick-Ass" is currently being planned (although it's not yet clear on whether or not it'll get filmed). As for the premise of the sequel, it's planned to focus on two things: 1) the Red Mist follows a new supervillain identity (the Motherf---er) and causes a conflict where gangs of New York try to beat each other, and 2) Kick-Ass forming a new group of superheroes to fight all of New York's gangs as he struggles to overcome complications in his life as a powerless superhero.
