The King wanted to spoil her. But she grew up lovely, a girl who cared about the people and the animals. As she grew and her visits to the village were more often, she would become friends with them. But when her father, the king, found out he said "The only one who can befriend you is your future husband."
A few years go by and the Princess is at the marriageable age (15). She sneaks to see the people and at other times she goes off to the forest behind the castle. The King tries to convince that it is to dangerous. But she does so so that she can have the little freedom and joy she could get. But she wondered to far and after a few hours of no food or water she rested at a fallen tree. As she started to get worried, a traveling stranger saw the maiden and went to comfort her.
