Class Reunion!

“I’m so excited daddy!” Ushio yelled as I knocked on the door.
“Watashi mo.” I agreed with a smile. The door opened and I was greated by a not-so-enthusiastic Yuki in a pink ruffled dress. Ushio was wearing something similar (the ruffled dress part) but it was green. They smiled when they saw eachother.
“Hajimemashite.” Ushio greeted her with a smile. “Ushio desu.”
“Hajimemashite Ushio.” Yuki replied. “Yuki desu.” Without so much as a “Ja’ne daddy!” Ushio walked off with Yuki as they began chatting. I was then greeted by Kyou.
“Tomoya! Come in! Where’s Ushio?” I gestured towards her and Yuki and Kyou smiled.
“I knew they’d be friends!” She squealed, excitedly. Then she started talking about the party and such, I didn’t really pay attention. She caught my attention when she put her hand on my shoulder and said.
“I told everyone about Nagisa, I hope you don’t mind. I figured it would be best so they don’t catch you off guard like I did.” I didn’t say anything, but I nodded as we entered the party room. Everyone smiled and greeted me. I heard a series of “Konnichiwas” and I returned them. I was following Kyou, and she introduced me to her husband.
“Tomoya, this is Haru my husband. Haru, this is Tomoya.” I smiled at Haru and said,
“Hajimemashite Haru.” He smiled and said,
“Hajimemashite Tomoya. I’ve heard lots of good…and bad…things about you from Kyou.” He said with a smile. Kyou blushed as I began to wonder what the bad things were.
I talked to everyone and caught up on what was happening. Tomoyo had a boyfriend, whom she did not bring to the party. I heard that she had met him at some sort of politics thing and he was perfect for her. She seemed happy. Kotomi was some sort of scientist, and very happy with her job, she hadn’t had time for a relationship yet, but she has started dating. Ryou was happily married to Kappei Hiiragi with twins! One boy one girl, I couldn’t remember what she said their names were. Everyone was so happy. Except Youhei, but he was never happy. I heard that he was in a relationship with some girl though, and it had lasted pretty long so far…so far. The party was fun, and I enjoyed myself, but the whole time I couldn’t help but wish Nagisa was there. I missed her so much. I went in the other room, and sat on the couch. I needed to be alone for a minute. Ushio and Yuki were in Yuki’s room, so I was completely alone. I was surprised when the whole group entered the room where I was, utterly silent. I looked up with a questioning expression. Kyou sat down next to me and said,
“We know you’re really upset about Nagisa, but we just want you to know that you’re not alone.” Kyou started the group discussion. Tomoyo sat down on the other side of me.
“Kyou’s right! You still have a family! We’ll always be here for you, and no matter what, you’ll always have the best group of friends in the world.” She smiled.
“Kappei and I are always here for you if you need us!” Ryou blurted out as she blushed. Some things never changed, Ryou was still her same shy self. Kotomi said something that made me chuckle,
“If you would ever like to read together, you know where to find me!” She blushed as I laughed. Youhei finally joined in.
“You know you’ve always got me Tomoya.” He said with a wink. I looked around, realizing exactly how lucky I was. I did have the best friends in the world, friends who would be there for me no matter what. And now, even though I missed Nagisa more than I could bare, I knew I would be okay, because I had this family. And as long as I had this family, I’d make it somehow. I smiled at everyone, and hugged each of them.
“Thank you guys so much. That really…helped me.” They all smiled, and we shared one big group hug. Then I heard a yell of pain as Kyou crushed Youhei’s head into the ground.
“You perv! We were having a nice group hug and you had to do something perverted!” She continuously stomped his head into the ground. “Don’t you ever touch my ass again!” Everybody laughed and I heard a muffled “sorry” from Youhei.
Just then, Yuki and Ushio came running down the stairs. For the first time, Ushio noticed the other adults. Her eyes widened. She hugged Kyou, then Tomoyo, then Kotomi, then Ryou.
“Daddy!” She exclaimed. I was very confused, and judging by their faces, so were the four women. I was about to ask something when she yelled,
“I only needed one mommy, I didn’t ask for four!” We all laughed, and she smiled hugging me.
“Thank you daddy.” It was official. If I had my friends, I would be alright. They had a solution to everything.
