I've gradually switched to using PWAs instead of installing every app from the App Store, and it has worked really well for me. Most of the services I use don't need full native apps, so adding them to the Home Screen is faster and keeps my iPhone less cluttered. I recently tried chicken road ios this way, and the experience felt almost identical to a regular application. If you're looking for Chicken Road iPhone, the iOS install process only takes a minute through Safari, and after that it launches directly from the Home Screen just like any other app.
