As you all can see, I updated my drafts section, which means that I'm currently finishing up a piece. Hopefully I can make a background I'm happy with and submit it soon. In the meantime, I might actually make...a second. Two pictures in one year!? Yeah, I'm slow, but I might put in the extra effort this time, haha. (Seriously, working with paints is time consuming.)
I might draw this character next: Seira Hoshikawa from Genei wo Kakeru Taiyou
Maybe I have a thing for blue-haired characters (or was it red-heads?). Or maybe it's the wrestling boots. I dunno, but I like the design, so I might give it a shot if I can sketch something I like in the coming days or weeks.
EDIT: And this is the part where I tell you that I've scrapped the idea of making a CG background. I wasn't happy with the results, so I decided to make a painted background. Yay, more work over more time! It wasn't that the CG backgrounds were terrible, it's just that they looked more like they'd fit another character in another anime - viz. Seira Hoshikawa. (I came up with an especially great BG with multiple layers, which I'll go with if I draw her, too.) Perhaps it was an unconscious thing with my mind wanting to make that picture, instead of finishing what I was working on. In any case, it'll probably take a bit longer now.
