#theOtaku

I've said it before and I'll say it again: If theO doesn't have a Twitter account, I think it should. I've found one that seems to be it, but it only has one tweet from a long time ago in a galaxy far far away: http://twitter.com/theotakucom

If that is a real account for theO, ideally, it should have at least two people running it, keeping it going smoothly. However, it's just sitting there inactive, which is kind of a shame if it's an official account. Personally, I'd like to take a shot at running it for a bit - on the condition there would be someone else running it, too. Like I said, it'd probably work better with 2 or 3 people looking after it, which isn't unusual. I've seen other accounts run by 2 or more people over there. From there, it could be handled a number of ways.

The most obvious and simple way is to tweet at least once a day, per person. In other words, sign in, tweet a message or two, and sign out. Simple as that. The next person would do the same thing, and just like that you've 2 - 6 tweets per day, which is fairly decent. It could be more than that, of course, but the basic idea is to throw something out there regularly, get your account noticed, and make it recognized in due time.

This is just my brief thoughts on this, so it's not very polished or substantive I'll admit. But it's a thought I'd like to put out there to at least see if there's interest in it.

Edit, July 16 2012: Actually, I just realized next week I'll be busy, so I won't have any time for anything online related. So consider this idea on hold until sometime next week or so.
