There was this one thing I've wanted to write, but it always eluded me. (The following will be vague, but I can't help it at the moment. This just came to me today, so I had to put it down somewhere and reflect on it.) I knew which anime to write about, but the way I was trying to go about it never satisfied me. It always felt like it was too distant from the anime itself. So, I dropped it, with the hope of returning to it one day when I have a better idea of what to do with it.
I think I've finally managed to get a better idea of how to write it. I think it's going to be focusing on my attraction to anime in general, but using this specific title, possibly more, as an intro of sorts. Of course, this is only a preliminary thought, so it could change. Maybe, just maybe this millionth draft will produce something that's worthwhile and readable. If so, then I'll be happy to keep my fantastic string of writing one article per year intact!
Well, I hope I can do something with it, especially when I'm reading so many things lately (Hacking's Historical Ontology led me to Biographies of Scientific Objects by Lorraine Daston, et. al. I still haven't gotten around to Sputnik Sweetheart. I will, I will, however.) The new site also has me re-watching some films, so that too is on my mind. (I wonder if it's possible to do a 100-list for a film like A Beautiful Mind.) In any event, I'll have to do some thinking about this and that.
