Successful launch for Dallmeier’s innovative CAT system
Dallmeier, a world-renowned solution provider for the casino industry, recently announced that its ICE show in London was very positive for the company.

During the show, Dalmyer's casino division team introduced Europe's first innovative casino automation technology (CAT) for live and table game automation, which has recently successfully performed numerous tests in a live casino environment and proved to be accurate, safe and ready to market.
The main features of CAT are overall table game tracking and real-time player ratings. This advanced system is designed to help casino operators increase revenue and mitigate risks, protect game table integrity, streamline operations, achieve game floor transparency, and help casino operators understand game table performance, as well as reduce labor costs and minimize human error.
Dallmeier's CAT is easy to integrate and install, requires no additional sensors, is not specific to the CMS system, is not dependent on RFID technology (but can be integrated), interacts with and operates with smart trading shoes, uses standard CCTV cameras and is not specific to the system.
Over the past few years, Dallmeier has invested heavily in their research and development, aiming to develop the best flexible solutions for the gaming industry, which are related to overall game tracking and real-time player analysis. IGT to Install Its Innovative VLTs with Loto-Québec
International Game Technology PLC or IGT has most recently announced that its subsidiary has won a competitive bid to install video lottery terminals with Loto-Québec. As per the agreement, IGT Canada Solutions ULC will gradually deliver PeakDual™ 27 VLTs across the province, in a multi-year deal. This is part of the Crown corporation’s VLT replacement process.

Continuing a Fruitful Partnership
Stéphane Fraser, Executive Vice-President and Chief Operating Officer of Gaming Establishments at Loto- Québec commented on the agreement. She remarked that for decades the Crown agency has relied on IGT to deliver quality hardware and game content to its gaming establishments network. Ms. Fraser shared that the corporation is pleased with the newest collaboration.
David Flinn, IGT SVP Sales, Canada, South and Central America added that winning the bid to supply VLTs to Quebec and its replacement cycle is a testament to the tremendous relationship between the supplier and the lottery and to the superior quality of the products and services the provider offers to its many partners across the globe.
PeakDual 27 VLT is a premium terminal that incorporates an ergonomic design and some impressive lighting, sound and graphics technology. In addition to that, it also features two 27-inch HD monitors which provide a curved, unified dual-screen experience and a 13.3 digital player panel. The new VLTs will serve as the perfect backdrop to the provider’s compelling game content.
Once installed at locations of the Crown agency, players in Quebec will be able to indulge in a plethora of first-in-class titles on the new VLT machine. Expanding in Western Canada
In addition to being a prominent brand in Quebec, IGT is also a big name in Western Canada, as in May 2023, it signed a deal with Western Canada Lottery Corporation. Via the partnership, the international supplier agreed to install 720 CrystalDual® 27 to WCLC. This was the fourth launch in seven years for the gaming tech leading in the region.
Quebecers Cash Out CA$1.6B in Lottery Prizes for 2023
Luck has definitely been on Quebecers’ side throughout 2023 when it comes to the lottery. According to Loto-Québec for the whole of last year, the Crown corporation paid out more than CA$1.6 billion in prize money. There were plenty of big winners last year, as the lottery reported that there have been 89 instances of players winning CA$1,000,000 or more.
It should be explained that Loto-Québec is a state-run Crown agency that has offered lottery entertainment to the La Belle Province for over 50 years now. In the meantime, in December 2023, Loto-Québec issued an update to confirm that its financial numbers are on track to meet its targets for the current fiscal year. The Crown reported total revenue of CA$1.412 billion and net proceeds of CA$736.8 million from April 1 through September 25, 2023. It is its best performance in years, except for the previous FY.
In its report, it disclosed that the lottery sector contributed CA$452.8 million of revenue. Meanwhile, its online lottery revenue amounted to 12.5% of the sector’s total proceeds for the first half of the fiscal year. Then its casino and gaming halls sector, which was affected by lengthy labour disputes, delivered approximately CA$527.2 million in earnings.
