Come on!

~Noko~

I curled up into a ball on my bed and smiled. I was having a great dream about feeding Toron to a bear. “Noko. Noko sweetie, wake up,” a soothing voice broke into my dreamy haze. I mumbled and pulled the cover further over my head. “Come on Noko,” my sister chuckled.

“I don’t wanna get up,” I groaned.

“Get up,” Toron growled from across the room. “Or I’ll get you up myself.”

I shot up at the sound of Toron’s threat, I’d learnt from my past mistakes. Last time I’d almost ended up with a scar. “I’m up! I’m up!” I jumped out of the bed, tripping on the sheets in the process.

“Noko! Are you ok?” Tiral moved quickly to my side to help me up.

I grabbed her outstretched hand and pulled myself up. As soon as I was standing again, I hugged her waist tightly. “Now I am,” I sighed happily. She hugged me back, and I could almost see the smile on her face. A few seconds later I reluctantly let go. “Time to get dressed. Toron. OUT!” I hissed at him.

He yawned and then padded out of the room. “It’s not like I’m interested in your body,” he called back. I grabbed a book off of my shelf and threw it at him, as I stuck out my tongue. He dodged it easily and I could still hear him chuckling as he turned the corner.

“Ignore him. You’re adorable,” Tiral smiled honestly. “Now get dressed.”

I nodded as she walked out of the room and quickly threw on my clothes. I was just tying up my hair when I noticed fliers falling outside my window. Curious I ran outside quickly and picked one up.

The War must be finished. You know this. I know this. And we would like you to join us in ending it once and for all. Shadow Walker believes he is strong, but we are stronger. We will defeat him and reshape the bonds! Join the Alliance! Both humans and Bond-Keepers! We welcome you to the Bond-Keeper Headquarters to join and finish the war that has lasted five years! Come and Soon!

“Toron!” I called, running through the house.

He looked up at me lazily as I found him lying on the couch, “What?”

“Come on!” I ran past him out the front door.

“Noko!” I heard my sister call out.

I waved back at her and kept running, “I’ll be back later!”

“Where are we going?” Toron asked, catching up to me easily. I threw the flier at him and kept running.
