You know how the Japanese like to recycle just about everything they can, being an island nation and all? Well, they can apparently recycle food too.

Hiroyuki Yakou was sick of all the food waste he used to drive to the dump in his garbage truck. He decided to take action and created Agri Gaia System Co,the largest food recycling company in Japan. Now he turns the things that 7-11 Japan throw away (like milk, sandwiches, rice balls) into animal feed.
So that Pikachu rice ball Little Yasuma didn't buy last month is what fed his beef bowl contents to prime conditions. Kinda funky, eh?
