Ode to a knight;

History 6th period.
One’s wings spread high;
The manor life simply not able to contain,
Their hands hold a dagger in one and a scabbard in the other.
They whisper of silent commands given by an angel.
“Take the ones that wish to be saved, fly far into the night and hesitate, to look back on the life you left.”
Some choose the life of the sword.
I had given the thought; I took the life of a mere peasant.
A Chivalry knocks at the door, Is it time to disappear or stay?
Can thee say something as to be of good will?
“Take this dagger in my hand, plunge it into this heart thee have taken as, thy own.”

Notes on the words used:
Scabbard: A sheath used to home a dagger, sword or bayonet
Dagger: A weapon such as a sword or knife; If in relation to a sword a dagger is quite smaller;
Thee: Used commonly in earlier ages as You.
Thy: Used commonly in earlier ages as a form of Your.
Scabbard was looked up in a Medieval glossary.
Dagger was found with a scabbard (if you have a sheath for the weapon why not use the weapon as well?)
