When I started doing this a few years ago with my mom, I found that giving out the candy during the trick-or-treat portion of Halloween night is actually more fun than the actual trick-or-treating itself. (For one thing, you have total acess to the candy you like and get any and all leftovers when you're done.
Another neat aspect of doing so is seeing what everyone is wearing on that night and--sometimes--having a few laughs with them about it.) My neighborhood is a little over ten years old now so we usually end up with less than half a bowl of candy left for us, no biggie. This year however, was completely different. I'm not sure why, but we barely had any trick-or-treaters. For a while I was thinking that the phenomenon was due to my neighborhood's age, but then I heard from my grandmother, a few friends, and even my history professor that the same thing happend to them! Does anyone have any theories as to what happend? (Not that I'm upset that we have a whole bowl of candy to ourselves or anything, but the notion disturbs me quite a bit...)
Anyway, to officially close Halloween (even if it is a little late) I'm going to post up this simple picture of Bald Mountain since I used the Chernabog in the majority of my Halloween e-cards.

Have a great day, y'all! ![]()
