Ref Pic Sketchbook

Hey!
This is something I've been wanting to post here for a while^^ The original idea was given to me by toyotami kun and IyamiNaHamusutaa who recommended that I start doodling more and make a books of ref sketches for myself to I could work on my style+poses!

Here are some pages of ref sketches that I did. Most of the images are from Bakuman, you might recognize a couple of them^^ or not cuz they're so messy xP

Doing little sketchy outlines like this really helps with practicing hand-eye coordination and getting poses/clothing/anatomy right. You can do these little sketches whenever you want if you have a notebook lying around... Do you see a cool landscape or get an idea while out and about? What about when you're watching anime or reading manga and you see the perfect pose/expression? Just doodle it down! Then you'll hav your own book full of ref pics to use whenever you want :D
This also helps when it comes to defining your own style. Using manga artwork is great for reference, but sometimes the certain style can rub off on you when you draw. So by sketching an ambiguous pose without details will allow you to get in touch with your style and become a more independent artist while letting you also still use ref pics!

I hope this helps you guys out, its helped me out a lot! With clothing especially... Just doodling the flow of the clothing without thought of detail will ingrain it in your brain XD

Thanks for viewing! Questions and comment appreciated!
