So, I'm sure you're all wondering what is The Adventures of Action!Axel. Well, quite simply it's a comic (for want of a better term) revolving around my Axel action figure. Action!Axel lives on my bookshelf with various other action figures, and this comic dives into his everyday life.
What inspired this insanity? Cleolinda, the amazing writer/blogger of Movies in Fifteen Minutes has a feature on her blog titled 'The Secret Life of Dolls'. Where we get to see life on her doll shelf. Hilarity ensues. I've always found these posts hilarious and they're a great pick-me-up on a bad day. Of course, a nod must also go to Nijuuni on deviantart, who makes wonderfully funny photocomics with her own Kingdom Hearts action figures.
Why Axel? Because.
What type of camera do I use? I use a 7.2 megapixel Sony Cyber-shot. It's a standard digital camera, and I am by no means a photographer.
What editing software do I use? Adobe Photoshop CS3 Extended is where I put the pages together. The pictures get shrunk to size, cropped and so forth, than I add lines, speech bubbles and any other effects needed for the page.
Where can I get those speech bubbles? Ta da! I don't pretend to be an artist, though some of the effects are made by me. Mr. Dragon's angry tics are the best example of my skill level when it comes to 'art'.
