Don’t feel too sorry for Satoshi. Plenty of the awful things he did were all on him. He does get a shot at redemption; but his hopes of recognition/a relationship with his dad, not so much. He has a rough way to go, but a good chance at a better ending.
This is pretty heavy stuff, but also quite interesting! Working through how your characters past experiences shape their personalities is an excellent mode of character development. ^-^b
I feel badly for Satoshi. His character arc sounds similar to Prince Zuko from Avatar. Does he get a happy ending?
