One-Punch Man

Plot: Saitama is a hero for fun. He can take out any opponent with just one punch -- but that's a problem. Saitama wants to find a worthy opponent. Instead, he picks up an apprentice, a cyborg named Genos, who admires his amazing strength. To be officially recognized for their efforts, heroes must register with the Hero Association. So Saitama and Genos are off to conquer their first hurdle -- passing the Hero exam! (Not much here in the way of overarching plot, but it's still fun -- B- )

Art & Animation: A

Voice Acting: A

Music: B-

Objectionable Content: profanity, blood/monster gore

Other: Based on a web comic that was then adapted to a smash-hit manga.

One-Punch Man is basically a superhero satire. The anime didn't establish much of an overarching plot. Instead, the arcs each have a big bad guy that our heroes have to defeat. (And then, of course, there's the hero exam.) Great to look at, though, and lots of fun. Just be prepared to cover your eyes or Fast Forward if you're squeamish (first couple episodes are the worst with monster gore).
