Quickie

Just tossin' this out here before I jet to check my forum and split.

We were out doing a Black Friday eat-out deal at Chili's (more on that later), and before we hit the restaurant my mother had to get her Goodwill fix and my sisters wanted to shoe shop *eyeroll*, so I used the opportunity to check out the GameStop nearby.

And I found Fire Emblem (Blazing Sword). SCORE.

I've been wanting to turn this series into fiction format basically since I first played it, but I wanted to start here because it was the first US release; I can get help translating the others when I . . . well, buy them, or find emulators for them. I've already gone through the prologue and taken notes in play format, so I might start a world for the roughs when I get going. It's hecka harder to get all the supports in this FE, though, so I'm in for a slog. BUT I DON'T CARE! (^_^)

Anyway, had the Smokehouse Triple-Cheese burger at Chili's. And lemme tell ya, they don't call their line "big mouth" for nothin'. You seriously have to have a cavern (like I do) to even eat the thing without cutting it up—they serve it with a steak knife. The bacon was applewood-smoked and about three times as thick as anything you cook for breakfast (unless you cut your own bacon), and I think it's safe to say that they weren't so much 'slices' or even 'slabs' as they were 'planks'. Massive blob of melted cheddar, provologne, and Swiss cheeses, diced sautéed onions, ranch-jalepeño sauce, mustard, and ketchup. Ye gods. What a burger.

Dessert was good too. But right now I want to get back to DMC3.
